One of the finest coming-of-age films with a lovely fantasy element. The movie is a gem once the old ass kicks in, after the first few moments are a little mediocre.
Teenagers' desires and family values are explored in an intriguing manner. Even though Chad is so unrealistic, it helped for the climax emotional portion. The circle would be completed if they talked about their friendship.
The climax hug scene and the voice messages made me melt inside, which I rarely felt in Hollywood movies...
Worth the watch... BEWARE of adult scenes.

Kudos to Hiphop Thamizha for choosing this subject. The political one lines and some satire apocalypse dialogs are ultimate. "Manitham, saga manithan" wow.
Natraj is so opt and has equal role to the hero. He shined both first and second half of the movie. The first half is current politics and the second half is imminent and we are moving fast towards it.
The film isn't flawless; after watching many Hollywood productions, a few scenes seem absurd. Additionally, the hero has easy access to everything in the second half, which adds a little more masala flavor. This is definitely a commendable attempt in Tamil cinema, given the small (own) budget and the forgiveness of these writings shortcomings.
The climax alien touch is too much.

As a Rajni fan movie is fantastic in first half and steady second half. Rajni and Amitab combo worked very well from beginning to end
As a common movie fan, can feel the dragging in second part and can easily note the commercial extra fittings...there is not much of story and Rajni moments in second half.
If they added more fafa (Fahad Fasil) moments and investigation in second half it would be great. Once Rana enters the screen, the movie travels into the mediocre path.... What is missed in second half is the Rana character is not made as stronger villain and very less concentrated academy issues.... this reduces the investigation angle of the story....
Totally one solid drama delivered with subtle Rajni styling but failed to hit the pulse as in Jai Beem.
