The Platform is a slick production with believable characters, an exciting plot and no soapy subplots. I think most people will feel a whole lot better about their own fathers if they have issues with them, after watching this series.
Considering the unexpected ending, I'm very keen to see if there will be a Series 2 and how it will progress from here on.
Overall this was a very nice story and well worth watching. The only problem I had was with the two lead actors. The love story between the two lead actors was not particularly convincing to me. Maybe it was because he only ever kissed Nisan on the forehead. They never kissed on the lips once. Also I found the way Nisan kept playing with her hair and flipping it back extremely annoying. I guess she does this in real life and if so then someone ought to tell her how irritating it is. Anyway I thoroughly enjoyed Seda's evilness and that made it all worth watching.
I don't think anyone can play crazy as well as Erdal Besikçioglu . He apparently can speak English as he does speak some English in 46 Yok Olan, so he could go out and conquer the world with his version of crazy. He could easily rival Jack Nicholson. To see what I mean, watch him acting crazy in Behzat C.
The series had exactly the right number of episodes which was quite a pleasure considering Behzat C took out half my life.
I didn't think I was going to enjoy 46 Yok Olan as much as I did (btw what on earth does the title mean?) but once I started I couldn't wait to watch the next episode.
The plot is most unusual and although the synopsis leaves you wondering if you should waste your time watching it, I certainly didn't regret taking the plunge.
If you watched Behzat C you'll also get to see Vulture again but in quite a different role. And if you watched Black Money Love, you'll see Fatih Dündar as a policeman this time.
Anyway I enjoyed this series very much and now I'm looking for more Erdal Besikçioglu movies or series (that have English subtitles).
