I Loved This Movie - My Review Has Spoilers!
19 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I remember how much I loved this movie! It was a great movie obviously meant for families and or children. The story involves a family (with John Lithgow playing the father) going out into the woods for some family fun but then while driving back dad accidentally hits a big beast with his station wagon. They're not sure if they killed whatever it was and don't know what they hit, so they check it out and it turns out to be a real life Bigfoot.

After he turns out to still be alive they nurse the Bigfoot back to health and name him Harry, but at first Dad only sees the possible fortune they could make selling Harry. Harry doesn't help his own cause by destroying a lot of stuff in the house, eating their plants etc. Professional Bigfoot hunters become involved and the family has to decide whether to keep Harry or sell him or help him get back to freedom.

Decent Web Series
17 February 2014
This is a decent web series. It is a very king of off beat sense of humour going for it which some people will appreciate and others not. The show is about three guys who have a sketch comedy troop and they are discovered at their show by a big talent agent.

They celebrate their huge contract but then in a tragic accident one of them suffers a brain injury and the part of his brain responsible for comedy is damaged so the contract is in danger now. They try to hide it but the agent figures it out. They take him to the doctor who tells them he can fix it with a very expensive operation they can't afford. Basically the entire show is about them trying to help their friend get his sense of humour back.

All of the acting is great and there are some really funny scenes. There are also some less funny scenes but it is a short web series so it is definitely worth sitting through. If you like episode one you will like the rest but if you hate episode one you probably will hate the rest, like I said it is kind of a different sense of humour.

Started Great, Went Downhill Towards the End
17 February 2014
I'd say that in my opinion this show started out as one of the all time best television dramas ever produced, but then towards the end of the show's run it went steeply downhill. The show started out so amazing and with such great promise that I think perhaps our expectations were raised to the point where the show couldn't possibly meet them, but that's just my opinion.

I was very disappointed the last couple of seasons and I would say the show in those years ended up being about a 5 at best, totally average for other shows at the time. The first two or three years I would put it at probably a perfect 10. I just wish things had come together better in the end.

It's still worth watching.

Package Deal (2013–2014)

I'm Not a Fan
17 February 2014
I'm really not a fan of Package Deal at all, at least not yet. I have watched the entire first season. I think so anyway, I maybe have missed an episode or two without realizing it. The laughs are very forced with the laugh track incredibly overused and obnoxious. They basically use the laugh track after every single line, and not only do they use it but the laughs are always way over the top with how big, loud and long they are. Most shows don't use the canned laughter so often or so loudly, plus it also seems to stick out because frankly the lines are not that funny. This show has some very poor writing in my opinion. Of course let me stress that that's just my opinion, and everyone has to judge for their own self if a show is funny or good. I will tune in again for the beginning of season two but if they lose me I won't force myself to continue watching. One season was enough of a chance to give a show and I have been mostly disappointed so far.

Yuk

This movie is awful. Dane Cook sucks. Dane Cook is the least funny "comedian" ever. I put "comedian" in quotes like that because I don't really think he is a comedian at all. Just like I would say Dane Cook is not an actor but an "actor". He is a "comedian" and an "actor". His stand-up comedy is horrible. His acting in this movie is at least as bad as Dennis Rodman's, and that is saying something I am sure you will agree if you have ever seen Dennis Rodman's "acting". Dennis Rodman is probably as good at doing standup comedy as Dane Cook is at "acting". This movie is awful. They couldn't even spell the title right. Simon Says this movie is one of the worst ever.

Terrible writing, acting and directing.
7 May 2006
I've watched three episodes and have to wonder how did a show this bad get made? Showcase deserves credit for Trailer Park Boys but this show is just really awful.

The humour is kind of like the office but does not work, the stories and jokes are so stupid. The episode I just watched had the main character spouting Star Wars lines through the whole show for no reason leaving me to wonder "was any of that supposed to be funny, cause it wasn't." Honestly I can't think of one character in this show that I like and it is a combination of bad actors and bad writing for the characters. The only character I like at all is the tall yuppy guy who can actually give his lines without making me want to turn the channel but I'm never watching this show again anyway.

Give this show a chance but I'm sure most people won't like it, it was unbelievably bad.
