Better then the original 1994 movie
Better then the original 1994 movie. This one is not meant to be a remake of that film, it's meant to be a reimagination of the comic. It gives more background to the story of Eric and Shelly, how they met, what their lives were like before they were killed and why they were killed. The scenes are bloody, gory and gruesome and the whole film had me gripped from start to finish. Can't wait for a Crow2! As I said before, it's not meant to be a remake of the 1994 version. That's a totally different movie. This is a completely different take on the comic! It's brilliant! Good job everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a big fan of the VHS series of movies, but I've been very disappointed in the last two movies. HOWEVER, this one is pretty good! The first two movies in the VHS series were very well done, with some unique stories and good scares.
But the next two were near absolute garbage to me. Not sure what went wrong but something went very wrong with them.
But, with this new movie they get back to what made the VHS series so great. This movie had very unique stories and a couple of decent scares. The main focus was aliens this time.
So if you didn't like the last two movies, give this one a chance, I think it is very well done. 👍

Don't waste your time, you won't get it back. A "movie" with no actors, no script and no direction is not a movie. It could be a money laundering scheme but certainly not anything even remotely related to the art of film making.
It only takes 5 minutes into it to understand how awful the rest of it is.
I hope the "actors" are not professionals and they're just people that happened to pass by and were used to fill the, and can you believe it, 120 minutes runtime and of this garbage.

Some of the reviewers must have seen another movie : not once did I smile, not once did I recognize Axel Foley on screen, Eddy Murphy has lost all of his energy and turned into an old fat black man whose voice even sounds different apparently. It's all rehatching of scenes from the previous movies and event the score (including the songs from the 80's !) are 95% the same. The story is non-existent and you don't care, Axel's daughter (32 years old) is an obnoxious negative person and she brings the energy down in every scene she's in. Rosewood has little screentime (he looks like he's been run over by a bus; what happend ?) but tries to make the most of it and Taggart is just plain old but at least his voice still sounds the same like 30 years ago.
Eddy Murphy said this movie was hard to shoot "because it's an action movie" and he's 63 years old. Show me one scene where he does an iota of action, he doesn't. He doesn't run, he doesn't fall, he doesn't scream, none of the usual Axel Foley banter.
If only Adil and Bilall were there to direct but even they couldn't have worked with this moronic script.
