This episode was great! Overall, it was good. Dutch returns which I was a little skeptical since her last appearance had no reason to be there. But I think she proved herself again as her character as she comes up with a way to be able to broadcast Eph's warning about the vampire plague.
The majority of the episode was told in Abraham flashbacks. I thought they were well made. They really captured how Abraham came to be in possession of that vampire heart in his pawn shop. He does the ultimate sacrifice.
The other half of the episode was Gus meeting with the guy from an earlier episode and eventually leading to a horrid discovery ending with a big point from the book. This I will not say anything about.
A big growth in Nora's character happens in this episode. Find out what it is.
So sad it's ending next Sunday.

Setrakian and his team return to the pawnshop regretting not destroying the Master. He sits near a vampire heart in a jar and recalls what happened many years ago in Albania with his beloved family. Dutch succeeds to broadcast Eph using a test network and he warns the population about the vampires. Out of the blue they discover that they are under siege of the vampires that are attacking the shop. Meanwhile Gus abducts Alonso to his office first and them to visit smuggled containers at the harbor. When he opens the container, he finds a horde of vampires locked inside and they need to fight to survive. The Master visits Thomas Eichorst.
"Last Rites" is another filler episode of "The Strain" where basically the most important is the last scene. Setrakian´s past in flashbacks is not engaging and only completes the running time. My vote is seven.
Title (Brazil): "Ritos Finais" ("Last Rites")
