Sometimes confused with its excellent follow-up 6-episode miniseries "Winter" (2015) with the same lead actors, this original 90-minute TV production of 2014 establishes the central character of police detective Eve Winter as she investigates the case of 5 bodies discovered in a "killing field." "The Killing Field" (2014) has been referred to as Episode 1, with the following miniseries "Winter" designated Episodes 2 - 7. The 2015 series however has D.S. Eve Winter on a new case, of a murdered young wife and her connection to another young woman who goes missing after a hit-and-run attempt on her life.
