- A man named Luka (Babak Yousefi) is present at a parking lot where a drug deal is taking place. Things got out of hand after the police conducted a crackdown at the place. Luka was witnessing everything and saw a person with a gun to his head from a hooded person, transferring a bag full of drugs from one car to another. Luka recorded everything on his phone, but a masked assailant saw him doing that. Luka escaped from the parking lot to save his life, and the masked assailant followed him.
At that moment, Conny (Filip Berg), was busy playing simulated flight games at his home in Stockholm. Conny and his wife had separated from each other, and they shared custody of their daughter, Julia (Isabelle Aronsson). Conny didn't like it when Tomas (Emil Brulin), his ex-wife's husband, did anything for Julia, and he felt a sense of insecurity, which is quite common in such relationship dynamics. Tomas wanted to take Julia to a horse ranch because the little girl loved horses.
Conny didn't have enough money to buy a horse, as he was a salesman at an electronics store. But now that his daughter had asked him, and Tomas was ready to buy her the animal, Conny felt competitive. Conny decided to do overtime, and his boss told him to install a television at a customer's house. Mimi (Sissela Benn), the one who owned the house, had to be somewhere urgently, so she left Conny at her place and asked him to install the television by the time she was back. That's when Mimi's husband, Luka, came into the house, and he was killed by the unknown masked assailant while Conny was in the house. Conny didn't hear anything as he had noise-canceling headphones on. Conny found Luka lying on the floor, but he couldn't do anything; the masked assailant came and assaulted Conny as well. When Mimi came back home, she found her husband dead, and beside him, she saw Conny sitting with a screwdriver in his hand. Mimi assumed that Conny was the one who had killed her husband, and he was taken into custody by the police officers.
A police officer named Helena Malm (Eva Melander) was heading the investigation, and together with her subordinates, Diana Wilson (Amy Deasismont) and Jorma (Magnus Sundberg), she came to interrogate Conny. Diana and Conny had met each other before, as the former had come to his store to buy headphones. Diana couldn't gulp down the fact that a simple man like him could murder somebody. A lawyer named Hasse is assigned to Conny, but he does not seem very competent.
Conny was convicted in court and sent to prison for 18 years, and the case of Luka's murder was closed. Even after the case was solved, Diana kept doing her research, as she had a very strong feeling that Conny was not behind the murder. She found out that Luka had been present near the place where the drug deal took place. She informed her superior, Helena.
Meanwhile, Conny was struggling in prison, not knowing how to prove his innocence. Hasse informs Conny that his appeal in court has been rejected. Conny remembered that Luka, while taking his last breaths, had said something about his phone. Surprisingly, the police officers did not find a phone on him. Conny knew that there was something on that phone that could lead him to the real killer. Conny overheard a conversation between two inmates, and he learned that there was a secret tunnel through which he could escape.
Conny decided that he would go out, meet the victim's wife, ask her to find the phone, and then come back to the prison before anybody realized that he was missing. Conny went and met Mimi, who was not ready to believe whatever he told her. Mimi says that nobody had seen Luka's phone. Conny asks Mimi to find the phone and gives her a phone number where he can be contacted. Conny came back to the prison, and the inmates, Norinder (Dejan Cukic) and Musse (Joakim Sallquist), who had built the secret tunnel, realized that he had found out about it. Musse and Norinder had planned to escape from the prison, but they were looking for a pilot who could fly their private jet.
Musse saw Conny's family picture in his cell, and he mistook him for a pilot. Actually, it was Tomas in the picture, who was wearing the pilot's uniform, and because Conny had torn Tomas' face from it, Musse thought that it was actually him. Conny also didn't clear the misunderstanding, as he knew that he could probably also escape with them, as otherwise, he would never be able to prove his innocence.
Meanwhile, Conny got a call from Mimi on the cellphone he had stolen from Musse's stuff, which he stored in the secret passageway. Mimi found Luka's phone, and she saw the video that her husband had recorded. She saw that it was Helena who had stolen the drugs during the police crackdown. She realized that it was she who chased Luka and killed him that night. Mimi asked Conny to meet her immediately, and though the latter was able to meet her and take the phone from her. Helena had been tracking Mimi's phone and knew that she had called Conny, as she could listen to the call recording and knew where they were going to meet. Helena interrupted the meeting, but Conny manages to escape in the van with Musse and Norinder.
Conny texted Hasse that he was going to the airport and wanted him to be there. When Helena tries to stop them in her cop car, Musse shoots at her tires, forcing her to call for backup. Conny, Musse and Norinder reached the airport where Conny was supposed to pilot a plane and help them escape. But that's when the authorities arrived to take them into custody. Helena shoots Conny at his shoulder and took away Luka's phone.
Diana wanted to interrogate Conny once again, but her seniors didn't allow her to do so. Diana said that the drug bust at Luka's location had yielded 1 kilo of cocaine, but the laptop used for the money transferred showed a deal for 30 kilos, and this indicated that Luka stole the drugs, which is why he was murdered. Also, finding the opportunity, Helena took Luka's phone from Conny's pocket after she shot at him at the airport, and then later, she destroyed it. Diana, without telling anyone, went to the hospital where Conny was admitted. She had no clue that Helena had also decided to go there and poison the man so that she could wash her hands of the mess once and for all. But her plans were spoiled when Diana also showed up.
Diana and Helena entered into a fight, and the former was able to escape from there together with Conny before Helena could kill them both. Helena told her seniors that it was Diana who tried to kill her and then later ran away with the perpetrator, i.e., Conny. Helena was a decorated officer, which is why her superior, Josef (Peter Gardiner), believed whatever she told him. Conny and Diana need a place to hide, and Conny takes her to his store, which is deserted at night. Since the phone had been destroyed, Conny took Diana to Mimi's house, as he knew that the video would be stored on the television's hard drive (Conny knew this as he installed the TV). Mimi had told Conny that the phone got connected to the TV and that's where she saw the video. That's when Diana saw that it was Helena who stole the drugs that night, though they still had no clue why she did so. Diana knew that no matter what happened, she needed the truth to come out in the open. The police officers were not only searching for Conny, but they were also looking for the police officers who helped him escape from the hospital.
Conny and Diana decided to reach out to Hasse (Mans Nathanaelson), Conny's lawyer, as he was the only one who could help them out. They tracked Hasse, and they were shocked to see him entering a hotel with Helena. Conny and Diana had brought along Mimi's TV with them, as that was their only source of the video, and they had no electronic device to transfer the video into. It all became clear for Diana and Conny. So basically, Hasse tipped Helena off about drug deals, and she used the opportunity to not only pin down the small-time dealers but also steal their stashes. Then later, they both found prospective buyers and sold them the stolen drugs, making a huge profit in the process.
Diana realized the only way to call the police to the hotel was to inform them that she was hiding there with Conny. Josef, her superior, took the bait, and he reached there in no time. Josef also informed Helena about it, and she got paranoid as she was also present there with the drug kingpins. Helena tried her level best to mislead the police officers, and she almost succeeded in pinning all the blame on Diana and Conny and not letting any suspicion fall on her.
Conney somehow managed to gain access to the electronic screen that was installed on the elevator. He was able to connect the television's motherboard to it. Josef saw the video, and he realized that Diana had been telling the truth all along. Helena and Hasse got arrested, and even the drug lords with whom they were making a deal were taken into custody. Conny was finally acquitted of all charges, and he knew that he couldn't thank Diana enough for what she did for him.
