This pair of segments from Bree Mills' "True Lesbian" series combined on a VOD are a long slog to watch, because the scripts are way too sentimental and not helped by sappy music, all coming off as a bit condescending. It's as if producer Bree is having second thoughts, as her lesbian-oriented porn output for a decade in its generally silly/facetious and gonzo mode has caught up with her, and she seems to be trying to compensate by sponsoring very old-fashioned lesbian romances that play as hollow and insincere. While watching I also wondered if her primary customers paying for porn on the Adult Time platform -being principally males who dig gonzo content, react favorably to this approach.
In 'Grand Gesture", Giselle Blanco prattles on about her desire to become prom queen, and her bespectacled date Leana Lovings reveals that she's going with her as a big favor, as she's afraid of blowback to be the femme date in this very conservative community. Leana pours on the "likeableness", but it's a bit much.
Other scene is more elaborate, with a very boring set-up scene in which Casey Calvert meekly pours her heart out about her husband of many years revealed to be gay, and now she wonders if she's a lesbian after all. Kira Noir appears here to null effect as basically her sounding board, listening patiently and then arranging a date for Casey with her gay cousin Whitney Wright. Whitney humps Casey, and the deadly dull scene finally ends.
