The release date was announced on April 5th, 2024 to be June 19th, 2026.
This is the fifth Pixar film to be directed by Andrew Stanton, including A Bug's Life (1998) (which he co-directed) Finding Nemo (2003), Wall-E (2008), and Finding Dory (2016).
Only Toy Story sequel where the film's main director does not make his directorial debut with Pixar.
