A little more than your typical romcom with some extra giggles included. I thought the writing had some great one liners delivered smartly by the two leads. I enjoyed the setting and the writing. I liked watching the relationship develop between the darling, but nerdy, olive farmer and the slightly spoiled young writer. Sam Schweikert (Ben, the olive farmer) and Jenna Michno (Mel, the young writer) had very believable growing chemistry as the story progressed. Unlike many romcoms, their relationship seemed to advance in a convincing way. Sometimes the 'hate each other- then love each other' "lifetime type' movies are completely implausible. This felt more genuine. The sister of the olive farmer was darling too. Sweet story -worth a watch!
By the way it is on Amazon Prime with no commercials.

This movie was surprisingly fun to watch.
I really liked that the main character wasn't the perfect "I have everything together" kind of cliche hallmark heroine ,but a more relatable person who doesn't always have it figured out.
The mother-daughter relationship was a great one to focus on, which is also why this movie seemed a bit different than all those other ones out there.
It adds extra that the mum gets to experience a more spontaneous and adventurous way of herself and that the movie isn't only focusing on the "new young couple".
Could be open to watching a sequel!
Even more hearts under the olive tree :)
