I watched it. It's a very abstract movie, like a pseudo documentary film, with director Jia Zhangke's own style. It's like a medley of Chinese golden songs, mixed with a feeling of ghosts and animals (like Jia Zhangke's film's secondary editing), depicting the changes in China in the 21st century and the changes in the lives of a generation. The overall feeling is like a silent film, and the protagonist doesn't even have any dialogue! Director Jia Zhangke used the materials he shot to create such a powerful work! What a true genius! Although the movie doesn't have a single line of dialogue, it expresses the inner emotions of the female protagonist Qiaoqiao in a rich way. Although the picture quality is very old (after all, it is the material), the cinematography is very good, so the expressed images are not only rustic, but also have a sense of dream core strangeness, and are familiar with the style of county literature. Jia Zhangke is still so strong!
