This is a fantastic overview of Reggae from its Jamaican origins all the way to present time across the planet. Informative & fascinating, this follows the trail of obscure but formative Reggae artists & how together, they've created a unique music legacy & spiritual calling. It is shot with a very street level perspective and interviews inside players--some famous, some not--to give insight into the "runnings." You can literally feel the vibes of Kingston as they venture into some parts of the city that you would not venture in today! While it gives a good overview of the history of Jamaican music (from before the ska era on), it is never a dry history. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the history of Reggae as this film represents a well documented piece of world music history.
