An ex-con assumes the identity of a murdered sheriff in the small town of Banshee, Pennsylvania, where he has some unfinished business.

Ex-con and master thief Lucas Hood assumes the identity of a murdered sheriff and continues his criminal activities. His past seems to haunt him via those he betrayed years earlier. A man who has just been released from jail after serving a 15-year sentence sets out to find his former girlfriend, and tracks her down to the small, peaceful-looking Amish town of Banshee, Pennsylvania. He gets there just in time to witness the murder of the newly-arrived Sheriff, Lucas Hood. As he needs to start a new life, and nobody knew what the new Sheriff looked like, he assumes his identity, not realizing that he is in danger. Meanwhile, his pre-prison past stalks him.—grantss
