Through good, bad, and ugly, with rapt attention, we tune into Outer Banks and wholly embrace the ride that’s always in store for us.
And Outer Banks Season 4 was no exception, delivering the series’ biggest and most compact season to date with twists, revelations, celebrations, and tragedy.
While the season had many enjoyable aspects, we also have plenty of gripes and must address those.
(Jackson Lee Davis/Netflix)
While we await what the final season has in store, let’s unpack some of the glaring issues that frustrated us during an epic season.
So here are some of the reasons Outer Banks Season 4 lost the plot and subsequently pissed us off in the process.
So, check it out, and then hit the comments, not the Kooks, Obx Fanatics.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is not the first horror game to feature blind enemies that are hypersensitive to the sounds you make. House of Ashes has its gnarly space-vampires that rely on echolocation to get around, The Last of Us has its iconic Clickers — caked in fungi that obscures all but their ears — and The Callisto Protocol has its (not at all iconic) Clicker knockoffs. Meanwhile, if we were to go back as far as Resident Evil 4, we’d find the hulking Garradors; feral gladiators whose eyes have been sewn shut and who will instinctively charge at the slightest of vibrations.
Anyway, the point is that it’s hardly a revolutionary concept. Should we expand the parameters a little to include creatures that enjoy perfect 20/20 vision — but still boast highly attuned hearing nonetheless — then we’d also have to account for the likes of Amnesia: The Bunker...

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for Op chapter 1126
One Piece has its fair share of iconic and badass moments. Be it Arlong Park Arc or Luffy’s Gear 5 transformation, Eiichiro Oda aced some of the iconic moments in the series. His portrayal of friendships and heroism is heart-rending. This holds especially true for the Straw Hat Pirates’ loyalty and faith in the hero. However, this character takes his devotion to new extremes.

The third installment in the franchise, titled Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, was released in 2022. While promoting the film, Redmayne compared it to the classic heist film Ocean’s Eleven, going as far as to liken his character to Brad Pitt’s role in the movie. Here is what Redmayne had to say about the similarities between the two movies, despite them being different on paper.

Evil Season 4 Episode 2 ratcheted up the tension as many of our favorite characters found themselves distressed.
Some kicked ass, like Sheryl, and some fell into a blubbering heap, like Andy. Either way, there's a lot to digest, as we are only a mere 12 episodes away from the finale.
Although "How to Train a Werewolf" began with a supernatural bent, science won this time out.
Every season has a theme, and the pop-up book at the beginning of the credits (which began 17 minutes into the episode) is The Big Pop-Up Book of Science.
This makes me wonder if they'll tie the whole series together with a scientific explanation for everything before the end. That would be a satisfying series conclusion, if somewhat disappointing.

Then and only then did we meet a native of Venezuela who said that she was living the American dream just by setting foot on the show’s storied stage. And her voice — wow. It was packed with more emotions than were covered even in Inside Out. Read on, and you can not only review our thoughts on her performance, you can lend an ear yourself.

It's been almost five years since Game of Thrones wrapped up its wildly popular run on HBO.
But while the show might have consistently delivered stellar ratings, it didn't always leave viewers feeling satisfied.
In fact, half a decade after the controversial Game of Thrones series finale, any mention of the series is still more likely to elicit complaints than fond memories from people who would've once described themselves as devoted fans.
Why such a rapid reversal of opinion?
Well, Game of Thrones' lackluster final season is the most obvious culprit, but the criticism began long before Daenerys turned to the dark side.
The show's ability to generate controversy and debate among fans was one of the keys to its early success.
Unfortunately, by the time Bran Stark came out of left field to claim the Iron Throne, the chorus of criticism was far louder than the smattering of praise.

International and indie film distributor Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Korean film Escape From Mogadishu. It will open in theaters in the U.S. and Canada August 6 following a July 28 release in Korea.
The film is based on true events and chronicles the harrowing experience of bitterly opposed North and South Korean diplomats trapped in the city of Mogadishu at the advent of the Somalian civil war in 1991. The dramatic years-long conflict, which exploded following the rebel-led ouster of dictator Mohamed Siad Barre, was introduced to American audiences through blockbuster film Black Hawk Down, which picks up the narrative in war-torn Mogadishu in 1993.
“The film portrays this almost unfathomable event that throws the horrors of war into sharp relief,” said Well Go CEO Doris Pfardrescher. She noted the production team’s careful study of surviving embassy records and historical accounts to create the most realistic possible depiction.

Based on the urban legend known as "The Black-Eyed Kids" and co-starring the iconic Tobin Bell, Let Us In is now on Digital and On Demand via Samuel Goldwyn Films, and we caught up with director/co-writer Craig Moss (the filmmaker behind the Bad Ass films) to discuss the importance of making a scary story that's family-friendly, working with a horror icon, and setting the film against the backdrop of a creepy urban legend.
Thanks for taking the time to answer questions for us, Craig, and congratulations on Let Us In! How did you and co-writer Joe Callero come up with the idea for this film, and how many drafts of the script did you go through before cameras were ready to roll?

Usually in this paragraph, I mention the importance of a particular upcoming project and why it should be on the audience’s radar. For this one, I’m just going to mention three names: director Ryoo Seung-wan and actors Kim Yoon-seek and Jo In-sung. This is the real-life action drama “Escape from Mogadishu”!
Synopsis
“Escape from Mogadishu” deals with a real-life defection incident between the two Korean embassies in Somalia back in the nineties that purports to explore the relevant motives behind the event. Han Shin-sung works as an ambassador at the South Korean Embassy in Mogadishu, Somalia. A civil war breaks out in the country. Han Shin-sung, his wife, and embassy officials are trapped in the embassy building. Meanwhile, Kang Dae-jin works as a councilor at the North Korean Embassy in Mogadishu. Moon So-ri has always been an actress whose projects are worth keeping an eye out for. While she rarely does solo leading lady parts these days, even her work within an ensemble cast rarely disappoints. It is, thus, with anticipation that her latest feature “Three Sisters” by director Lee Seung-won, on which she also acts as producer, was looked forward to.
Three Sisters screened at Osaka Asian Film Festival
As the title suggests, our central characters here are three sisters, each with their different lives yet each equally pitiable in those lives. The eldest, Hee-sook, is an always apologetic florist who can’t seem to tell anyone, not even her rebellious daughter Bo-mi, that she has been diagnosed with cancer. Middle sister Mi-yeon is a devout Catholic choirmaster who can’t get her children to follow the faith as well as she’d want them to, while also just finding...

The nominees are in for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, and music's biggest night will feature some of your favorite artists ...though some were snubbed.
Singer-songwriter Andra Day announced the four major categories -- Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year -- on Tuesday's CBS This Morning.
As far as snubs go, Ed Sheeran was only nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for his track, "Shape of You," to the shock of many of his fans. Lady Gaga and Kesha also received minimal nominations, despite the popularity of their albums.
However, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar earned quite a few Grammy nods, as well as Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" song that features Justin Bieber.

With fewer than 100 days until the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, U.S. freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy has become one of the most prominent faces of the Games. And it should come as no surprise that the athlete has seen his profile rise in the four years since he took home a silver medal at the 2014 Sochi Games, where he also became famous for rescuing four pups and their mother (aka the Sochi Strays) and earned the nickname “Gus Swoon-worthy.”
But most notably, a few months after returning home from Russia, Kenworthy publicly came out as gay, in an October 2015 interview with Espn the Magazine. He quickly became recognized and celebrated as one of only a few out American male athletes, joining the ranks of soccer player Robbie Rogers, NBA pro Jason Collins, and NFL newbie Michael Sam, who all came out just a couple of years prior.

Kid Rock doesn't know why anyone would think he was running for the Senate. The confusion may have come from the fact that Kid Rock said that he was at least considering the idea. But if we've learned anything from the last couple of years, it's that all a politician has to do to get away with contradicting himself is to accuse the media of being fake news when they report what he said.
At any rate, all the hubbub about a potential Senate run for Kid Rock was nothing more than a way to generate publicity for his new album, which releases next week. Because lying to your fans is cool.

With the upcoming worldwide release of the modern creature feature comedy Cute Little Buggers I was lucky enough to spend some time with the film’s director Tony Jopia to talk about his influences, bringing the bunnies to life and having fun on set.
How did first get in to filmmaking?
When I was 9 years old I was asked what I wanted to do at school. I remember seeing Airport 1975 (1974) and then not long after another film called the The Poseidon Adventure (1972). They both kind of set a firm seed in my mind that making moves is what I wanted to do. My father used to wake me up at midnight to watch all the creature feature movies that used to appear late at night. I had school the next day yet he would still wake me up at midnight and say, “Come and watch this”. It was the...

The Oscars may have come and gone—some even slipping right out of a recipient’s grasp—but that doesn’t mean awards season is over. We mean, it mostly is, but there are certainly other accolades to be distributed, other cinematic achievements to be lauded. Take the All Def Movie Awards, a Russell Simmons creation, which were held on February 22. That ceremony also handed out many prestigious prizes, including Most Out of Place White Person, which was awarded to all of the nominees, astoundingly enough. Tiffany Haddish picked up only the second ever Bad Ass Boss Chick award for her role in Keanu, while her costar Luis Guzman won for Best Latino Not in a Service Industry Role.

Danny Trejo seems like a cool dude. In an interview with the bad movie podcast How Did This Get Made (after making fun of his movie Bad Ass) he revealed that he'll sometimes work on student films if asked, and will even do it pro bono, just so people can have his name in their project. He's also been known to help at-risk youth in his spare time. But Trejo wasn't always so cuddly. If... Read More...

It has often been a question in The Walking Dead comics and TV show: what is it that makes Rick so different to Negan? However he never quiet gets there thanks to the family of survivors built around him. Well creator of the comic book Robert Kirkman and longstanding artist Charlie Adlard have decided to show us the reader how bad ass Rick would look in Negan garb.

Prolific Machete star Danny Trejo turned 72 this year, a development that doesn’t seem to have even slightly slowed down the dozen or so low-budget productions that IMDb says he’s currently working on. (Or his recently debuted L.A. taco joint, Trejo’s Tacos.) Still, Trejo’s advancing years have had at least one impact on his career, serving as the apparent inspiration for Social Security, a crowdfunded action film Trejo describes as “Die Hard in a retirement home.”
Created with director Craig Moss—whose vigilante Bad Ass movies, funded through Fox’s now-shuttered low-budget division, have been a regular Trejo haunt—the movie would see the fiercely miened actor playing himself for once, trying to stop jewel thieves from wreaking havoc in a senior citizen community. Fight like hell. This isn't so much a live-action trailer as it is an impressive VFX cinematic trailer, but it's worth featuring anyway. This new trailer is for the latest version of the popular Doom video game and it's made by director Joe Kosinski (aka Joseph Kosinski), the same filmmaker that directed Tron Legacy and Oblivion. Kosinski has been working on a number of projects recently including the next Tron sequel, a Black Hole remake, a Gran Turismo movie, and Twilight Zone, but in the meantime he has partnered with Bethesda Softworks to work on this marketing for the video game. Fire it up below and enjoy some action. This video comes from YouTube (thanks to SlashFilm for the tip). "Celebrate Doom's upcoming launch with our all-new live-action cinematic trailer. Directed by Joe Kosinski (Oblivion, Tron: Legacy), the trailer evokes the pillars of Doom's gameplay: Relentless Combat, Terrifying Demons, and Bad Ass Guns.

“Doom” is stepping up its marketing campaign with a live-action trailer directed by Joseph Kosinski, the filmmaker behind “Tron: Legacy” and Tom Cruise sci-fi movie “Oblivion.” The 60-second clip is little more than a long and violent action sequence full of signature “Doom” monsters. Ready to fight like Hell? Armed with his trusty shotgun and a never-say-die attitude, today’s ferocious cinematic trailer for Doom unleashes id Software’s musclebound space marine, mowing down every abominable hellspawn in his path.
As this is a cinematic sizzle reel, the snippet is more a showcase of Doom‘s stylish world – not to mention the monsters therein – than core gameplay. Even still, directed by Oblivion‘s Joe Kosinski, it’s undeniably an enticing teaser of what’s to come, with Doomguy causing all sorts of chaos as he tears his way through the depths of Hell.
