Filmed in late 2014. It was going to be released by independent distributor Alchemy in early 2016, but the company filed for bankruptcy shortly after. In April of 2019, it was announced that myCinema would finally release the film in September.
During the jungle movie shoot, there is a clear mirroring of a scene from Apocalypse Now (1979), but due to copyright they cannot mention it directly.
The film has indirect appearances by the likeness of George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and more directors in the beach house scene.
