Our Wild Hearts has producer director Rick Schroder all of a sudden has a 15 year
old daughter he never knew about drop in for a visit. The daughter is played by
Rick's real life daughter Cambria Schroder. She's just found out about her dad
from her single mom who never discussed him. She's from Malibu and she's used
to the beach lifestyle. Now she's heading for the Sierra Nevadas and the rancher
father she's just found out about.
Rick's fallen on bad times. He had a dude ranch back in the day, but now he
captures and breaks wild mustangs for riding horses. There's a stallion leader
that he and rival rancher Martin Kove want.
Someone must have been inspired by the old television series Fury. Young
Cambria is the one who tames him, but the stallion is a one woman horse just
the way Fury was with Joey.
There are some nice performances here. Rick Schroder even got a couple of his
sons in playing sons of Kove. Kove is a real bad dude, you might remember him best for being the sensei of that bad dojo in Karate Kid. He's just as bad
here.
Our Wild Hearts is a nice family film from the family Schroder.
