The combat and mechanics got far too repetitive for me, but if you don't mind that and are here for just the story it's great.
I only made it past two areas but dreaded trying to get through it. I've enjoyed turn based games like divinity, baldurs gate, wasteland, but this was just so oversimplified it begged for variety. The combat field appears to always be the same, the spells are varied but don't offer much in tactics. It also felt like it needed something more to make you excited about confrontation. I dreaded fighting and would try my best to get through a scenario without conflict but 9/10 times the encounter ended in some fight some how. Just not for me I guess.
