BLEED FOR THIS is the incredible true story of one of the most inspiring and unlikely comebacks in sports history. Miles Teller (Whiplash, Divergent) stars as Vinny "The Pazmanian Devil" Pazienza, a local Providence boxer who shot to stardom after winning 2 world title fights. After a near-fatal car accident leaves Vinny with a severed spine, doctors tell him he may never walk again. With the help of renowned trainer Kevin Rooney (Aaron Eckhart), Vinny becomes a legend when he not only walks again, but miraculously returns to the ring to reclaim his title belt only a year after the accident.

Miles himself was in a near-fatal car crash just one year before his friend died in a car crash. He now wears a green bracelet that reads "Buckle up for Bo" in his honor. The bracelet can be seen in most of his films except for when it doesn't fit his character.

Goofs
Vinny Pazienza won the Duran fight by a wider margin than it is shown in the movie. Instead of a majority decision (114-114, 115-113 and 115-113) it was a unanimous decision (117-113, 117-112 and 117-112).

It's alright

This film tells the story of an American boxer, who has a bright future ahead of him. Unfortunately, he is almost killed in a traffic accident, squashing his dreams to continue boxing. He refuses to accept his fate, continues to train and make a spectacular comeback

Our hero in the film doesn't give up, working hard against all odds and then achieve the seemingly impossible. This is guaranteed to be an inspiring story, but strangely enough I don't feel the passion and emotions that I thought I would feel. The fight scenes don't seem intense enough either. Fortunately, the production is good, and Aaron Eckhart is almost unrecognisable as the boxing coach, which makes him even more convincing.
