Update: Britt Robertson ("Under the Dome," "Avalon High") will star in Tomorrowland, which is about a girl with an unconventional understanding of technology who goes on a journey to reclaim her future. Heady! Hugh Laurie (Arthur Christmas, 101 Dalmations), Raffey Cassidy (she played Young Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman) and Thomas Robinson ("The Protector") also star alongside George Clooney.
Robertson is one of the stars of October comedy Delivery Man but we still love her from CW's "Life Unexpected."
Jan. 28, 2013 - Well, now we're getting closer to the mystery behind Disney's 1952. The Brad Bird-helmed alien movie starring George Clooney is getting a title switch to... Tomorrowland. Of course, Disneyland's Tomorrowland is the futuristic section of the theme park which houses Space Mountain, the Astro Orbiter and ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. Leading us down one path just to reveal something unexpected? Well played, Damon Lidelof. We wouldn't expect anything less.

Two "Pretty Little Liars" hotties are going to get visits from their brothers this season.
First up is Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty), who causes so much trouble on his own, we don't even want to know what his older brother Eric has up his sleeve. Eric will be played by Robbie Amell, who knows a little something about brotherly love -- his older brother, Stephen Amell, stars in this fall's "Arrow" on The CW.
Troian Bellisario tweeted the below pic of Brant and Robbie, teasing, "The Kahns... double the creep." According to TVLine, Robbie's episode is set to air on August 7.
Not everyone in Rosewood is evil, though. Our favorite good guy Ezra (Ian Harding) will also enjoy a family reunion when British actor Gregg Sulkin joins the show as Wesley Fitz, Ezra's little bro. "Just want to say thank you to all of the @abcfpll fans who have welcomed...

MTV has picked up its remake of the award-winning British series The Inbetweeners to series with a 12-episode order. Brad Copeland wrote the adaptation and serves as the showrunner. He is executive producing with Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, creators of the original series, and Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment. The Inbetweeners, which was greenlighted to pilot in September, stars Joey Pollari (Avalon High), Bubba Lewis (To Save a Life), The Virginity Hit star Zack Pearlman and Mark L. Young (Big Love) in a high school comedy described as Superbad meets Freaks and Geeks. It revolves around four high school boys (Pollari, Lewis, Pearlman, Young) who belong to the "inbetweeners" social class -- teens who are not the most cool and popular but not geeky enough to be branded uncool. Taika Waititi (The Flight of the Concords) directed the pilot. This marks the third series pickup for Kapital Entertainment out of four produced pilots.

Kasdan was a writer for "Dawson's Creek" and is also an actor. He made his directorial debut in In the Land of Women which co-starred Kristen Stewart. As soon as we thought we could predict the outcome of the Oscars, here comes another surprise! This one's brought to you by the Writers Guild of America. Picked for Best Original Screenplay was Christopher Nolan's "Inception." The director, famously dissed for not getting a Best Director Oscar nomination, may just win the Best Original Screenplay come Oscar night. Oscar front-runner, "The King's Speech" was not nominated because it didn't quality under union rules which prompted Nolan to say during his WGA acceptance award that he looked forward to a time when he could accept the award "without qualification."
That could be the beginning of a great script Mr. Nolan, go write it :happy
For adapted screenplay, I'm happy to report that Aaron Sorkin's fantastic script won! Based on "The Accidental Billionaires" by Ben Mezrich, "The Social Network" was the only film last year that I predicted to win this very category.

Disney's latest original TV movie, "Avalon High," stars "Life Unexpected's" Britt Robertson as Allie, a new girl in town who has a sneaking suspicion that the kids at her new school are actually reincarnations of members of King Arthur's Court.
Though Allie and Robertson's "Life Unexpected" character Lux seem extremely different on a surface level, Robertson tells Zap2it that they're more alike than you might think. "She's a pretty average chick. She does a lot of traveling with her parents," she says. "She's just a fun, feisty, outgoing girl. But she hasn't really had a lot of stability as far as far as life and social situations go, so in that sense she's a lot like Lux."
Allie quickly makes friends at school, which Robertson says is "not very Lux-like." She's working on a term paper about the legacy of King Arthur, and the more time she spends with her new crowd,...

Playing the lead in Disney Channel's newest movie, 'Avalon High,' was like a mini vacation for Britt Robertson. Compared to her day job -- playing a foster child who reunites with her birth parents after 16 years in the system on The CW's 'Life Unexpected' -- the modern-day take on the Camelot legend was a whole lot more lighthearted, to say the least.
"['Avalon High'] was really very different," Robertson told TV Squad yesterday. "I've never done anything for Disney before. The genre in general is not something I'm typically pinned for. It's sort of like a realistic fantasy type movie -- it's a little more action-packed than I'm used to; it's a little more fun and playful. I started shooting after season 1 [of 'Life Unexpected'], so it was nice to be able to do something fun after that."

HollywoodNews.com: Here’s some Hollywood-style irony for you. In order to play the reincarnated spirit of King Arthur in tomorrow night’s (11/12) Disney Channel Original Movie, “Avalon High,” handsome 18-year-old London-born actor Gregg Sulkin had to quit acting British and become American.
First, there was playing American football, something the life-long soccer player had never done before.

Four weeks before shooting, they got me an American football coach, who was great.”

The dashing Wizards of Waverly Place star Gregg Sulkin ("dashing" is like "charming," but for Brits), who continues his run at Disney with this weekend's TV movie Avalon High, has signed on to star in Camilla Dickerson, an adaptation of the 1951 Madeline L'Engle ("A Wrinkle in Time") book. Australian actress Adelaide Clemens will play the title role, a teen whose parents are splitting up and trying to win over her affection. Aggravated by the whole mess, she turns to a rebellious boy (Sulkin) whose parents are also divorced. Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) and Samantha Mathis (Super Mario Brothers) will play Mr. and Mrs. Dickerson. Writer-director Cornelia Moore begins filming in Spokane, Washington next week.
