Though publicized in the press as a Romanian version of Sex and the City (1998), this serial is in fact an authorized remake of Rozengeur & wodka lime (2001). An in-joke reference to this is made in the first episode as the scene which introduces the four lead characters begins on a close-up of a bouquet of roses and a vodka lime cocktail.
