This movie is not for you, if you:
- don't like female revenge movies
- if you want to watch 10 minute rape scenes
- if you believe rapists deserve character development
- if you think movies should be "realistic" endings
Really enjoyed this movie, it has a lot going for it and an excellent directorial debut by Zoe Kravitz;
- Excellent acting by ALOT of the cast, particularly the female cast.
- Really enjoyable first hour, where you get to see a lot of story telling and character development. There were event times I laughed, because I just really loved the stoner character.
- Even though the story is about SA, you don't see much of it, which I was happy about. Because as women, I am sick and tired of seeing 10 min SA scenes in movies. (Including "the hunt" of women).
- interesting storyline - reminded me of Epstein/Diddy
- Nice to see some strong women, including one who can fight a bit.
Annoyed that there are reviewers on here, (clearly some men), who think this movie is "sexiest" because "it paints men in a dark light" and has an "unrealistic ending".
Well try telling that to Diddy and Epstein victims. Men like this exist and Zoe did a great job at not glamorising them. She literally portrayed them, as they should be seen, as nothing. And as for the "unrealistic" ending, I bet you loved all the Rambo and Arnie movie endings, they aren't unrealistic are they?
Great movie female revenge movie. Well balanced, well acted and nice to finally see women kill the bad guys!
