In a throwback revelation on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, Olsen spilled the tea about her not-so-stellar audition for the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. And, well, it was far from fiery.

“I auditioned for Game of Thrones,” Olsen confessed, taking us back to a tiny room in New York, where the assistant casting director, a camera, and a script awaited. The scene in question? Khaleesi’s iconic speech, fresh out of the flames in season one. Sounds epic? Not quite. “It was awful,” Olsen admitted with a laugh. “I didn’t get a callback.”

Miss Scarlet, formerly known as Miss Scarlet and the Duke, will get an early Season 5 premiere on streaming. This news comes as the show prepares its first season since the unexpected departure of Stuart Martin, who played the titular duke in the previous seasons. PBS and Masterpiece announced on Thursday, October 10 that Miss Scarlet Season 5 will deliver an early streaming release for Passport members beginning on Sunday, December 8 — more than one month before the season’s broadcast premiere. Subscribers to the PBS Masterpiece Amazon Prime Channel will also be able to stream the new season on December 8. Miss Scarlet Season 5’s broadcast premiere will be on Sunday, January 12 at 8/7c, immediately before the season premiere of All Creatures Great and Small Season 5. PBS has also provided a synopsis for the season as well as new photos of returning stars Kate Phillip and Felix Scott (who plays Patrick Nash) and new leading man Tom Durant-Pritchard.

WandaVision wasn't meant to be the first Marvel Studios TV series on Disney+, but Covid intervened and made it so that the critically acclaimed celebration of sitcoms was our introduction to the MCU on streaming. The series set a high bar many of the shows that followed have struggled to reach but Agatha All Along so far has all the makings of another truly great addition to this franchise...if the first four episodes are any indication, anyway.

A big part of that is down to Kathryn Hahn who returns as Agatha Harkness to reveal what became of the villain following her clash with the Scarlet Witch in the skies above Westview. Freed from that spell three years on and now powerless, she must assemble a coven to travel down the Witches' Road and regain what she's lost. However, complicating matters is the presence of Teen, a mysterious teenager who also hopes to acquire powers.

Viewers first met Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness when she was masquerading as Wanda Maximoff’s (Elizabeth Olsen) nosy neighbor in Westview, Ohio, the dream town that Wanda created with a very powerful hex in WandaVision, which came out early in 2021.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of the powerful purple witch differs slightly from that which appears in the comic books. Her context and setup can be gleaned from certain previous MCU projects ahead of her standalone series, which premieres Sept. 18 on Disney+.
