Telegraph Hill was formerly known as Plowed Garlic Hill and gained its current name from a telegraph station constructed on the summit in 1795. News of Wellington's victory at Waterloo was flashed to London from here in 1815.
Jess's parent house is very typical of a 1970's house and contents - however the actors playing the roles are around 20 years too young for this to be a home they've lived in for years.
