Young Colter is portrayed by Prestyn Bates, real-life brother of Parker Bates who portrayed the younger version of Justin Hartley's character Kevin Pearson on the television series "This Is Us."

Justin Hartley who plays Colter Shaw shares 2 episodes with his real-life wife Sofia Pernas who plays Billie Matalon. She appears in s1e6 Lexington and s2e3 Bloodlines.
On the opening scene of each episode the title tracker has a skylines image of the town/city where Coulter is based in that episode.
Colter's camping trailer is the iconic 2016 Airstream Pendleton 27FB. It appears to be modified slightly with the additional drawers and counter space where the lounge should be. They only made 100 of these as a limited edition to celebrate the National Park Service Centennial. This model was only featured in the pilot and second eps., replaced with Flying Cloud.
