Wednesday night is back to normal. Fox and NBC are bringing back their shows on Wednesday, Nov. 6. You won’t want to miss a night of drama and reality TV.
Last Wednesday saw a break on two of the networks. NBC opted for a week off for scheduling purposes, while Fox had a week of baseball to air. Now things are back in order, and we’re ready to see new episodes of our favorite shows. That includes Chicago Fire and The Masked Singer.
The Masked Singer, One Chicago, and more
On Fox, The Masked Singer returns. It’s all about the ‘60s tonight, and it’s going to be a big one for Group B. There will be a double elimination this week, as we get ready to welcome the next set of costumes to the stage soon. Who will be unmasked? Who do you want to win so far?...

It’s another night of drama and reality TV. However, not all networks have new episodes of favorite shows on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
We know that networks need to take breaks in the schedule. There are nine months to fill with content, but not enough new episodes to give us one new episode a week. Well, it’s time for one network to take a break for scheduling needs. Let’s get into it.
Survivor, the World Series continues, and more
We start off with CBS’s night of reality. Survivor kicks off the night with another 90-minute episode. This episode sees two castaways forced to mend fences due to tribal council. One group of castaways is given a safety net they need with the Immunity Challenge. It’s sure to be another night of reality drama.

One Chicago tends to take over on Wednesday nights for a lot of people. What’s on TV tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 16 as CBS continues its premiere week?
Well, for CBS, there isn’t much different tonight compared to previous weeks. The reality shows already started their premieres weeks earlier, and we get new episodes of The Summit and Survivor tonight. So, what about the other networks?
One Chicago Wednesday, The Golden Bachelorette, and more
Of course, for NBC, it’s all about the three One Chicago shows. Things kick off with Chicago Med, but it’s Chicago Fire that we’re keeping a close eye on. Violet makes a decision on a call that could see her fired from the job. EMTs are there to perform the initial emergency treatment and rush to the hospital, not perform C-sections, so it’s not surprising that Violet is potentially going to lose her license.

ABC has made changes to its Monday and Wednesday schedules. Monday will now be officially a Monday Night Football night as the network has added six more simulcasts for a total of 17 games in 2024 — 14 simulcast, including playoffs, and three exclusive. This replaces ABC’s previously announced Monday lineup of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, Press Your Luck and What Would You Do?
Of the three, the game shows are being pushed to 2025, delaying Pat Sajak’s Wheel of Fortune farewell with his final celebrity edition, while What Would You Do? will move to Wednesdays starting next week, taking over the slot previously assigned to ABC News’ Scamanda, which will be held for midseason.
If this all sounds confusing, here is the context behind the moves — with an ironic twist involving the CW.

ABC is pushing the premieres of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” “Press Your Luck” and ABC News’ “Scamanda” back to 2025 as it adds six simulcast NFL games to its fall schedule.
The new ABC/ESPN simulcasts, which will air at 8:15 p.m. Et, include the Bills facing off against the Jets on Oct. 14, the Ravens against the Buccaneers on Oct. 21, the Buccaneers against the Chiefs on Nov. 4, the Texans vs. the Cowboys on Nov. 18, The Ravens against the Chargers on Nov. 25 and the Saints vs. the Packers on Dec. 23.
The decision, which was made in conjunction with the league and is just for the 2024-25 season, is designed to lean into the cross-promotional opportunities and maximize the reach of NFL programming across Disney’s ecosystem. It will also give the network’s game shows a more consistent, weekly run midseason to avoid conflicts with football and the 2024 election.

What Would You Do? is returning for its 17th season. As seen in the trailer, John Quiñones is back as the series’ host. Sara Haines also returns as a correspondent as the two travel around the country for the show.
Quiñones Certainly Knows How To Make An Entrance
The series is something of a social experiment, collecting the reactions of strangers as they come across some sort of conflict in public. Not realizing the whole thing is staged, their reactions are then caught on camera. The series originally appeared on ABC’s Primetime before getting its own first season.
The trailer shows host John Quiñones making all sorts of entrances, even appearing out of limousines and helicopters, before he asks people caught on camera the show’s title question. This season, experiments have been filmed in Colorado, New Jersey, Nevada, and New York.

ABC has revealed its full lineup for its Fall 2024 programming, after announcing earlier those series that were renewed or canceled. As previously announced, unscripted programs Celebrity Jeopardy, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, Dancing With the Stars, American Idol, and more have been renewed for new seasons, though the latter will experience a big change when Katy Perry doesn’t return as a judge in its eighth season at ABC (23rd overall) as former Carrie Underwood steps up to the plate. To no one’s surprise, The Bachelor has also been renewed for Season 29. Shark Tank and What Would You Do? will also be coming back for more. As for its scripted programming, the Emmy-winning powerhouse that is Abbott Elementary will be back for Season 4 (it scored an early renewal in February), The Conners has been renewed for a seventh and final season, and Not Dead Yet was sadly canceled after two seasons.
