- TriviaThomas Jane was brought into the project by original director Wayne Kramer. When Kramer left the project, Jane suggested Sylvester Stallone to hire Walter Hill. After Hill took over directorial duties, Joel Silver came on board the project and fired Jane because he wanted an ethnic actor for the other lead role. Sung Kang was subsequently cast.
- GoofsThe police file shows Bonomo's (Sylvester Stallone) date of birth as April 24, 1962, however, in the beginning when they are showing his mug shots, he has allegedly arrested in Clark County, Nevada on 01/29/1968 and Dade County, Florida on December 20, 1971. In both mug shots, he was clearly an adult, even though by those dates, he would have only been 5 on the date of the first arrest and 9 in the second one.
A long time hitman would have several Ids. None have to be real.

Jimmy Bobo (,Sylvester Stallone) is a tough and relentless hitman from New Orleans who, after his last job, suffers an unexpected attack by Keegan (Jason Momoa), an unstoppable killing machine who ruthlessly executes anyone he has as an enemy or for whom he is hired. Determined to take revenge, Jimmy will be forced to collaborate with Taylor Kwan (Sung Kang) , a Korean police officer who has his own agenda, but who does not dispense with the expeditious means of his partner. He will soon discover that Jimmy is the most effective weapon to put an end to a criminal organization that has corrupted the police and the high and powerful social spheres of society. When Taylor is injured, Jimmy carries him to his daughter Lisa (Sarah Shahi) to heal him. Before long, their trail of clues has led them to sleazy lawyer Marcus Baptiste (Christian Slater), who is currently caught up in some shady business dealings with the mysterious and scheming Robert Nkomo Morel (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). Revenge never gets old !.
Thriller crime containing unstopped action, betrayals galore , violent events with murders in cold blood , high body count, twists and turns. Regarding a New Orleans hitman who after watching their respective partners die, forms an unstable alliance with a Washington, D. C. detective in order to bring down their common enemy. Lots of slam-bang action, swearing, shooting and there is graphic violence as well as other convenient elements with no much sense, at times it seems too similar to Hill's previous films. Sylvester Stallone stars in the big screen adaptation of the popular graphic novel of the same title illustrated by Colin Wilson. Directed by veteran Walter Hill carries out a professional film, the stars are pretty decent, but everything is predictable . Sylvester Stallone provides a nice and effective interpretation in his usual style as an ace hired killer suddenly falling into the hands of a cop, Sung Kang , and both of whom join forces against a nasty, malicious enemy . There are enough colourful roles in the support cast delivering attractive acting, it also features performances by: Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Sarah Shahi, Jason Momoa, Christian Slater, Jon Seda, Holt McCallan, Brian Van Holt, Weronika Rosati, among others.
It packs functional and atmospheric cinematography by cameraman Lloyd Ahern II, Walter Hill's regular. And thrilling musical score fitting to action by composer Steve Mazzaro. The motion picture was professionally directed by Walter Hill , though here he hasn't improved his previous thrillers , resulting in an intriguing and acceptable story but inferior than others Hill pics. Walter Hill said he wanted to have fun with the action genre, he stated the following: "We're not breaking new ground. We're trying to be entertaining within a format that's familiar. There's a kind of ice skating that goes on where you must let the audience know that you're not taking yourself too seriously. But at the same time, the jokes are funny but the bullets are real. The jeopardy has to be real. When it gets outlandish, there needs to be no drift into parody - self-parody, maybe inevitable for old directors". . The veteran craftsman Hill is a good writer , producer , filmmaker who has made a lot of films of all kinds of genres , working from late 60s , early 70s to nowadays . As he has directed action movies as ¨Hard times , The driver , Southern comfort , The warriors , Extreme prejudice , 48 Hours , Another 48 hours , Last man standing , Johnny Handsome , Undisputed, The Assignment¨. Science fiction genre : ¨Supernova¨ . Western: ¨Geronimo American legend¨ , ¨Wild Bill¨ , ¨Long riders¨ . Comedy : ¨Brewster's millions¨ . Terror : ¨Tales of the Crypt¨ . Musical : ¨Crossroads¨ . Rating 6/10. Passable and decent but no notable.
