I'm a sucker for this animated sitcoms, but it's pretty easy after the first few episodes to tell if a network has created a pile of steaming crap that assaults the audience with cheap jokes or actually delivers on a new concept while also being hilarious. "Little Demon" most definitely fits into the second bucket, and the casting of Aubrey Plaza as the Anti-Christ's mother and Danny DeVito as the Devil himself is just fantastic. Plaza steals the show with the most interesting character dynamic and the best lines. They definitely need to expand the depth of the plot is future seasons, but for an opening season the single-story episodes worked for me.

No spoil,
super fun, extremely well written, entertaining, well animated and shaded
very good surprise the 2 first episodes was amazing.
Waiting for more !!!
Hope they will keep the same art direction and the same delirious scripting it is outrageous, bloody, and so fun !
It's been so long time i have not laugh like that some sentences deserve to be saved somewhere !
It is very good to find something so fresh and funny and bloody ^^ we need more like that, many more.
And by the way it is not for children at all.
Some people said it is a rip-off of an old tv show, yes it is, but sorry, it is WAAAAAAAAY better !
The original tv show is : Lucy, Daughter of the Devil And it was not very good.

I was happy with the show from the beginning, but the critiques of bad writing were fair. The writing in the first 4 episodes started out as being pretty predictable and lacked anything that made it stand out. The show was definitely riding on perfect voice casting and a relatively fun concept.
After watching the most recent episode, 5, I think that it's finally coming into it's place. The characters are more fleshed out and the conflicts they encounter spawn some pretty good jokes. I feel like this was the first episode where there were original jokes and an original premise with the Chrissy and Laura plotline.
I would love to see more from the show and think that the potential is there for it to be a great adult cartoon. Unfortunately the general consensus doesn't offer a positive outlook and I'm pretty sure the show will end up being cancelled soon enough. Hopefully more people will give the show a chance rather than write it off as a dud after only 4 average episodes.
I recommend checking it out, despite what a lot people say.
Edit: Easy 9 at this point. 9 episodes in and I'm hooked. The story gets really good and the animation is great. All of the side plots have been hilarious, especially with the Rats vs Roaches plot.

Being a fan of Rick and morty and animation in general, I've been wanting to try this show for awhile. I ended up watching all eps in one day and actually liked it. You can tell, like the beginning of a lot of shows, there still coming into their own and can become much better overtime.
I love the voice actors, animation, comedy, etc. The only thing I'd change would be focusing more on Chrissy and figuring out her family and powers. I really like the parents, especially the mom, but would want a little more focus on her. I feel like the guy friend is cool too but the best friend character has the tendency to be cliche in a lot of shows so maybe not as much focus?
Also the "odd" character figuring out the "normal life" feels overused as well in general. Nothing they've done so far is boring or bad, I'd just be curious to see more of the demonic stuff and issues she and the rest of the family deals with as well.
I am looking forward to new episodes every week and excited for the drama.
Overall it has really good potential and excited for more.

Some dude gave it a 1 just because it was a remake or even a copy of an old animated series.. who cares? I gave it a watch and it was unbearable because of the animation and just wasn't that interesting unlike this version named "Little Demon" which is both funny and addicting to watch at the same time. They took an old trash series and made it new and fresh.
See this is a more cleaner and funnier remake of it. I can see loads of potential in this series and ticks all the boxes for me, I'll be waiting patiently for the rest of the episodes and I'm glad I caught this show early.
Episode 1 came off to a good start but episode 2 is when you start to get used to all the characters and the storyline Itself, makes you wonder what is going ton happen in the next episode.

Little Demon is a sort of "coming of age" story about a girls who learns she is the offspring of Satan and a Wiccan cultist. It's like if the mother in Rosemary's Baby was Lara Croft and dated the King of Hell, and the baby was some weak attempt of tv producers to relate to modern teenagers.
There's some clever humor placed around each episode so far, and you gotta like some of the characters, especially some of the demons, including the right-hand man of Satan, who's an arguably cute bartender snake with arms, and who speaks like Elmo from Sesame Street attempting to speak fluent Mandarin.
The world in which is takes place is rather strange. Unholy, supernatural events regularly take place in this universe, but nobody seems to care. Some of the humor is forced, and it's quite obvious who the target audience is, and oftentimes it feels more like a cash-grab to be the next "hit adult animation show for teenagers because teenagers are like, totally into this stuff".
It's still fun so far, and you gotta appreciate the celebrity cameos. It tries, and often too hard, to be funny and relatable, but in its own oddly charming sense, it's rather entertaining.
One of my biggest beefs with the show, is that it casts Satan as a sympathetic being, who deep down, has a heart of gold. This is absolute bullcrap, since Satan is the very center of evil and betrayal. The show is set up for a major personal redemption with everyone in his life, including his daughter, his daughter's mother, and even his reptilian servant (serpent?) friend. But I'll eat my words and have a lot more respect for this show if it ends with Satan being the bad guy who has always had it out for himself, but the way this show is going, I'm not going to hold my breath.

Honestly this show was a huge surprise to me. I had seen some people on TikTok trying to talk it down for being so "evil" and anti-Christian but watching it has been a breath of fresh air. Sure it can be very over-the-top and gross similar to Rick And Morty but there is also a certain charm to it. For people who can't handle nudity, gore, and pervasive language this won't be for you but those of us who have been aching for more mature animation this is exactly what we need. Voice acting is top-notch and animation, while kind of stiff, still looks very modern and is easy on the eyes. I hope people give this show a chance and don't bash it just because their religion won't allow it.

Great show.
At first I was a bit disapointed because I saw the 18+ rating, and expected it to be for adults. But the amount of gore and horror was very limited. I guess it's the occational nudity that does it, then? I would say the main audience is teenagers and I have recommended the series to my own kid (14 years).
That aside it's a nice, fun, gripping, and quite nice show, with some great voices and a nice visual style.
The dynamic between the main characters is snappy, funny and at times heartwrenching. I think I was 3 or 4 episodes in before I realised who the voice actors were when I looked it up, because I thought I could recognise some of them.
I'm already looking forward to the next season.

Mediocre writing kills all shows and movies, so if it doesn't improve I don't see this lasting more than a season or two.
The voice talent isn't the problem, but the characters are.
The generic friend, the even more generic, incredibly derivative neighbor, and the desperately edgy gore and profanity are all part of the problem. Just stick with storytelling and let the comedy develop from that, instead of trying to outdo other shows.
While the show has promise, it appears to be heading down the same dead end as all of the Brickleberry clones: absolute garbage television.
Ooh, that kid cursed!
Wow, that old lady made a sex joke!
That scene was sacrilegious; I can't believe it!
Old news, but if it's funny and clever that's okay.
This show is neither right now.

I thought this was gonna be your typical shock humor adult cartoon and while it does have some elements of that, it uses them very effectively. The plot isn't predictable at all and it takes you to some very interesting places. Also, some scenes are legitimately scary and unsettling like a horror movie, so I definitely appreciated that. There are some meh jokes and slightly unnatural dialogue, but I just chalked it up to growing pains, and I am hopeful this show will grow into something great. It's fun, witty, disturbing, and uses dark/shock humor effectively. If FX treats this show right, they will definitely have another hit series on their hands.

The show focuses so much on trying to offend and shock the audience it forgets to do anything else. Not to mention the animation is crap. Any "action" scenese are so quick and hard to follow since the frames are so blurry. Every fight has so much excessive cartoon gore that after awhile it turns into a red blob of death that you don't care about. The edge factor is clearly a marketing scheme and an uncreative one at that. The paying is totally awful as well, with the plot fully stopping for extended bits about putting things up their butt, or putting things up their vagina, or if they're feeling REAL creative, putting things up their dickhole. It's like watching brickleberry with demons and gore.

This is a really fun series that is very obviously intended for adults. Ignore all the negative Christian reviews- if you have a problem with the content, just don't let your kids watch. Don't have to try and ruin it for the majority of rational adults who will probably enjoy this series........
That being said, Little Demon holds up as an enjoyable and hilarious animated comedy series. The DeVito's and Aubrey Plaza play very well together comedically. You will also find the show is well balanced in light hearted comedic moments, along with tackling some heavier issues later in the season. 10/10 would recommend that you give this a watch. Hope they get a second season!

Knowing nothing at all going in, I wasn't expecting to make it through more than ten minutes. Since adult animation's golden days, there have been a lot of attempts and most series coast by on generic plot devices and trying to hard to be edgy. Then everyone and their dog had to go mind-bendy, multversy, over-the top. But this one surprised me. It did it's own brand of mind bending, without the over-the-top Rick & Morty Meet American Dad smoothie recipes everyone else uses.
I wasn't expecting to care about the outcome or care about the characters, This happened on multiple occasions in the second episode alone. I figured I might as well add a review because the one that's featured here at the top of IMDB discounts that altogether, looking for style over substance. This is one of the few adult animated sitcoms that uses it's gore and swearing appropriate to context. It's a show about demon-life. It doesn't fall back on edge for the sake of edge. Now not all main characters are all that likable, some of the supporting characters do seem kind of thrown together, but the leads are strong, and there is room to grow. Even some of the most critically beloved predecessors had more growing pains than that at the beginning. Some of them never even grew out of that (looking at you, Futurama).
This is one that should be given a chance to see what they can pull off in a few seasons and take it from there. There is a lot that can be done when the writing team has their own voice in a crowded niche.

This is the worst animation I've ever seen in a series, it's incredibly generic with godawful shading, but ignoring that the writing is bland, the characters are relatively good, and the sound design didn't jump out either direction. I will note it is very try-hardy, with constant gore and swearing, and full nudity which did admittedly catch me off guard, but it was a very quickly fading gimmick. This isn't really worth a watch as it is just an amalgamation of every other adult animated series of the past 5 years. This might have some promise, but I kinda doubt it is making it past one season.

This is currently my favorite adult animated series. It's hilarious and dark as hell (pun intended). Aubrey Plaza is always great, and Danny DeVito is oddly the perfect casting for the voice of Satan. I never would've thought of using him to voice "the prince of darkness", but I think that makes the character funnier. I also find it both funny and sad that the religious people actually believe this show is going to "corrupt our children". Most of the bad reviews are from the bible thumpers that are upset because a cartoon used characters from their precious book of fairytales.
So if you like dark humor, and are sick of.

"Little Demon" (S01, 1/2 hr, 10 eps, FX) is the naughtiest little animated that's aired on a mainstream cable channel (I think). No swear word is off limits, and there's full frontal female nudity in ep 1 so yeh, there's that. I've watched the first two eps so far and the point of the show is 13yo daughter rebelling against feuding divorced mom and dad - Satan who resides in the Metaphysical Realm , not Hell per se, but yeh, it's Hell. He's trying to get full custody since she's coming of age as the Antichrist, but she just wants to be a normal teen girl. The denizens of Hell are goofy albeit nightmarish creatures except for Satan who appears as a cardigan wearing 50 year old safe-dad ala Mr Rogers, but he's voiced by Danny Devito who at nearly 80 you'd think would be retired with Rhea on an island they own. But no, he along with two of his kids are EPs of this show, so that's a thing now, the actor-EP, because getting paid gazillions as an actor just isn't enough these days with inflation and all, you gotta get the show's distribution money stream, too, to make ends meet, sheesh. So far, the show leans heavy on instant possession as a story device, ugh. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the show's not for me because I'm not a teen girl of divorced parents feuding over me, trying to prove they love me more than the other, but there are plenty who will identify with this, so have at it.

This is the best thing on any streaming at the moment. I am absolutely in love with her mother she is awesome. I'll be honest she's the first hand drawn girl I've fallen in love with 😂😂 I would love a date with her real self.and it's definitely going to offend the god squad but I think that's the best thing about it.because let's be honest all they do is ram there garbage down the worlds throat so yippee to the demon girl and her kick ass witch mother .god bless you to the the people who created this wonderful animated show.last week I thought koala man was good and it is.but this has blown me away.please please please 🙏 don't cancel it I will be gutted.

Top tier cast for the voices of various characters.. we only have a couple episodes to base my opinion on so far but pretty much a coming of age type of show with a super dark demonic and funny spin on it.
Plus who doesn't love Aubrey Plaza and her sassy funny personality that brings a great voice to the series.
I am sure some people won't like this because it's too dark for their taste but that's fine, no one has to like everything. Hope the rest of the season brings some goodness!

Mildly entertaining, mildly funny - compared to Harley Quinn (the animation show) it looks rather weak. Little Demon: not meant for kids, not meant for adults (my opinion), so I really do not know who the target audience for this piece is, maybe young people still in their teens will like it more - to the core the idea just plays that "coming of age with daddy and mommy who don't like each other" card. Sounds pretty cheesy and overused? Well, it is. Anyway, here and there is a funny scene to detect and I like the style of the animations, therefore I dare to say that Little Demon is not absolute trash but for sure nothing remarkable too.

If it weren't for the crazy christians, I'd never have found this bit of gold. I'm in love.
This show is hilarious, bloody, cathartic to see bullies get their dues, etc.
People will be fine with 14yr old virgin Mary being non-consensually inseminated by sky daddy. But oh no, consensual sex between a grown woman and the devil.
The irony is God doesn't do consent yet is seen as good, while the devil needs your consent yet is seen as evil.
Anyways. This show has got my permanent attention, and I hope it continues.
It's got the same vibes of Big Mouth or South Park. Which is literally the only "crude" kinda shows I can tolerate. The other cartoons are boring and repetitive. But this is very progressive and aggressive.
I commend it for having the ovaries to do what it did.

The entire show's message is: "Leave things the way they are. Mental illness, domestic problems, verbal abuse, just let it happen and if u try to interfere you will fail."
It was fine to watch (the animation and voice acting), but I would not watch it again if my life depended on it.
They try really hard to touch on social and family issues, but it does not work. They tried to tackle father issues, but it was so minimal and spread out through the whole show that it did not affect at all. They talked about confidence, but it actually ended up with a negative message. They literally made a whole episode about body image issues, but they failed so badly that the only good thing about it is when they told the audience to get help.
Would not recommend it. The ideas are uninspired. The animation is bland. Jokes aren't funny. Very disgusting scenes and the characters show no reaction to any of it.

Stories about the antichrist have been done before, but this time the antichrist is a middle school girl with teenage hormones to fuel her decisions to use her demonic powers.
This series language, gore, and nudity may be a bit off putting at first, but you get used to it. Despite all of that, the show still manages to show a lot of heart. The humor is pretty good, and the universe it's set in is very interesting.
The devil being shown in the series is something missing from most antichrist media in the past. In Little Demon, it also follows how the devil is adjusting to fatherhood and how it changes him. It is a little jarring to hear Danny DeVitos voice coming out of the devils mouth, but you adjust quickly.
And I gotta say, Chrissy's mom Laura is a badass and is definitely the star of the show. Too many shows try to go the woke "girl power" angle and aim from the beginning to check the "badass female character" box, that they forgetto make them a real person with a real personality and end up making a mary-sue character. Laura is definitely flawed but spent the years her daughter was growing up to find ways to protect her when the inevitable happened. Plus, Aubrey Plaza does a great job voicing the character.
There is definitely room for this show to grow, and I am interested in seeing how it does.

I love Dan Harmon and Aubrey Plaza so going into this show I knew I wouldn't be disappointed, and I wasn't. Every week it seems to be a little crazier and crazier, but the character development remains. You actually care about the characters. The way it devs into what Hell is, Heaven, and all the powers Satan and Chrissy have is what got me hooked. The fact religious nuts hate it is just icing on already delicious cake. The show also does a good job of addressing some real issues instead of just always being fun and crazy. It is a great mix, and you can see Harmon's fingerprints all over it. Definitely recommend.
