According to showrunner Jon Hurwitz, actor C. Thomas Howell actually went full nude in the pilot episode and refused to use any prosthetics. Originally, Howell had a no-nudity contract. However, he changed his mind after reading the script.

Shelley Hennig had no problem being fully naked on set to film her wild sex scenes with Nick Zano, but while she was fine revealing her butt onscreen, she refused to show her bare breasts. So the production crew had to choreograph the scenes so that her nipples were never exposed.
