The third film that 50 Cent and Bruce Willis have starred in together, the other two being Setup (2011) and Fire with Fire (2012).
The second film starring John Cusack, Gia Mantegna, and 50 Cent; the first was The Frozen Ground.
Director Brian A Miller was asked to direct the film "in consideration" for the fact that Randall Emmett owed him for his percentage on his first film "Caught in the Crossfire", which Emmett pocketed.
