Caution: This article contains Spoilers for 911: Lone Star Season 5 Episode 9
Throughout Season 5 of 911: Lone Star, Carlos has been haunting who was responsible for the murder of her father last year. He’d been partnering with Ranger Campbell, and Episode 8 had Carlos rocked when a dying crook revealed his dad had suspected someone in the Rangers of selling info on undercover cops and informants to cartels…and that Campbell was the guy.
Did Campbell kill Carlos' dad in 911: Lone Star?
Carlos brought his suspicions to Chief Bridges, who did some checking and told Carlos that records showed Campbell had accessed all those files on murdered cops and informants. The pair went to Campbell’s home to meet his wife, Ashley (Peyton List). They found $100,000 in his safe and were ready to bring Campbell in.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
In the fall finale episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star, Carlos (Rafael Silva) finally learned the true identity of his father’s killer.
Keep reading to find out more…
Though it seemed his new partner Campbell (Parker Young) sold out criminal informants and then killed Gabriel Reyes, he was actually set up by Chief Bridges (Alan Autry).
Campbell then saved Carlos’ life, taking out Chief Bridges during a standoff with the Rangers.
Making Chief Bridges the one who killed Gabriel goes back to Season 4, co-showrunner Rashad Raisani explained to TV Insider.
“We realized quickly that Alan Autry was gold, and so we really wanted to give him as much interesting stuff as possible,” he said, adding that they researched real-life police and saw that high-level DEA agents were giving tips to attorneys for cartels.
“I was like, wow, what a very specific and interesting form of corruption,” he said.

The pieces are quickly clicking into place as 9-1-1: Lone Star comes closer to its swan song.
And it seems 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 Episode 9 was intent on wrapping up the case of Gabriel Reyes’ murder and finally elaborating on Judd’s drinking issue.
Also, we can anticipate where Owen will find himself by the end of the series.
(Kevin Estrada/Fox)
When you have a series like this coming to a close in a mostly unexpected way, what results is a bunch of storytelling that can seem sporadic with the sole purpose of getting us to the finish line of completion.
And “Fall From Grace” was one of those installments where it felt like they had that sticking point in their minds that they needed some of these storylines to wrap up or place characters on specific paths.

911: Lone Star has a big guest star coming for an upcoming episode that could spell trouble for Carlos!
Caution: This article contains Spoilers for 911: Lone Star Season 5
The final season of 911: Lone Star has had Carlos (Rafael L. Silva) still mourning the murder of his father, which has Carlos joining the Texas Rangers. He’s been paired with Sam Campbell (Parker Young).
The Monday, Dec. 2 episode will have Carlos meeting Campbell’s wife, Ashley, with TVLine sharing the first pics of actress Peyton List in the role. However, this is not going to be a friendly get-together with a partner’s family, because in the Monday, Nov. 19 episode, Carlos had a line on his father’s killer, which led him to an informant, only for the man to be mortally wounded in a shootout.

The series finale of “9-1-1: Lone Star” will be “apocalyptic,” showrunner Rashad Raisani told TheWrap ahead of the Fox show’s final few episodes. In fact, he said it will be like “Chernobyl” meets “The Last of Us.”
“We wanted to go out with a gigantic bang,” Raisani teased. “Actually, multiple bangs, as a matter of fact.”
The fifth and final season opened with a cataclysmic train derailment that unleashed a toxic chemical cloud: The first responders miraculously survived that, as they have numerous other disasters, but Raisani said that the crew of the 126 — led by Captain Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) — probably won’t be so lucky as the “9-1-1” spinoff comes to a close.
In a wide-ranging interview, Raisani also gave an update about the location where the planned third “9-1-1” series will be set. He confirmed that Hawaii — where the network’s new hit “Rescue: Hi-Surf” is based — is likely out.

When do new episodes of 9-1-1: Lone Star return? That’s the question on fans’ minds as a repeat episode hits Fox airwaves.
Season 5 of 9-1-1: Lone Star is in full swing, with less than a handful of episodes until the series finale.
However, fans will have two breaks before we say farewell to the 126 for good, and one will be long.
The first hiatus begins tonight, which really shouldn’t surprise anyone, considering it’s a holiday week.
Instead of a new episode, Fox is airing Season 5, Episode 1, titled Both Sides Now.
There’s some good news, though, regarding the return of 9-1-1: Lone Star.

Hey, "9-1-1: Lone Star" fans. Unfortunately, we have some really bad news that we have to hit you with tonight. Mondays have become all about first-responder dramas on Fox. Sadly, there’s some bad news about new episodes of Rescue: Hi-Surf tonight, Monday, Nov. 25.
We’re used to starting off the night with 911: Lone Star and ending it with the new lifeguarding drama Rescue: Hi-Surf. Both shows are taking a night off from new episodes tonight. We’ve also seen Fox change plans for the post-Super Bowl slot this year, with Rescue Hi-Surf no longer getting that spot. This doesn’t bode well for the future of the series.
Why is Rescue: Hi-Surf not airing tonight?
There is some disappointing news for fans of the series. Rescue: Hi-Surf aired its fall finale last Monday. This will be a shock to many as 911: Lone Star still has an episode to go in 2024!

Are you ready for another night of TV? Of course, you are! Monday, Nov. 25 sees some changes to the regular schedule, especially as we get closer to more fall finales.
The big change is to Fox’s lineup. There aren’t any new episodes of the two rescue shows. This is a little odd since the two shows will air their respective fall finales next Monday. There’s nothing special on tonight. Instead, Fox will air reruns of the 911: Lone Star season 5 premiere and the Rescue: Hi-Surf second episode.
Superman & Lois, NCIS: Origins, and more
CBS took time off last Monday from new episodes, but the shows are back on track tonight. That means a new episode of NCIS: Origins, which continues to see Gibbs deal with the loss of Shannon and Kelly. Well, not quite deal. He’s pretending he’s dealing, but there is a lot of pain and grief there.

As the television season winds down for the winter hiatus, that means we won’t have much to look forward to on television before the holidays arrive. There are some shows that are still airing, but others have already finished for the midseason. Is 911: Lone Star on that list? Luckily we won’t have to wait too long for the fall finale for this one!
The last episode of 911: Lone Star followed Tommy as she prepared for an experimental treatment for her breast cancer. Unfortunately, her insurance refused to cover it, leaving Owen working with the team to attempt to rectify the situation.
They all worked together to go over the budget outline from the Lafd, and just when it looked like they were losing the battle, the LAPD also joined them in solidarity.
Plus, Carlos’s hunt for his father’s murderer continued, which left tension in his marriage with Tk.

One 9-1-1 show might be ending in 2025, but there could be a third joining the universe that started back in 2018 on Fox. Talk of another spinoff first started when it became official that 9-1-1: Lone Star would be ending with its current fifth season in September, and a month later, it was reported that Hawai’i could be its location. When TV Insider spoke with 9-1-1 showrunner Tim Minear, we, of course, had to ask what he could share about the potential spinoff and if we could see 9-1-1 Season 8 setting it up. “We’re not going to do a backdoor pilot or something inside of 9-1-1, but Ryan Murphy and me and Rashad [Raisani, co-showrunner of 9-1-1: Lone Star], we’ve been having meetings and talking about possibilities and that’s pretty much all I could say about that,” Minear said. When we spoke with Raisani ...

Note: The following story contains spoilers from “9-1-1” Season 8, Episode 8.
“9-1-1” might be saying goodbye to Eddie Diaz in the near future, with series co-creator Tim Minear saying that the firefighter is “serious as a heart attack” about leaving L.A. after Thursday’s fall finale.
Episode 8, titled “Wannabes,” followed as Eddie (Ryan Guzman) continued to struggle with being separated from his son Christopher (Gavin McHugh), who left Los Angeles at the end of Season 7 to live with his grandparents in El Paso. After a begrudgingly quick FaceTime call made him realize his son is drifting further away from him, Eddie started to reevaluate his priorities — and near the end of the episode, he told Buck (Oliver Stark) he was looking at houses to buy there and potentially leave the 118.
But should fans really be worried about Eddie’s future on the show?

Fox has changed up its post-Super Bowl plans.
The network will the season three premiere of its game show The Floor after Super Bowl Lix on Feb. 9, giving the Rob Lowe-hosted series the biggest possible U.S. audience to kick off its next installment. The Floor replaces first-year drama Rescue: Hi-Surf, which Fox announced would have the post-Super Bowl showcase when the network unveiled its 2024-25 slate in May.
Rescue: Hi-Surf will likely still get heavy promotion during the Super Bowl (as it did during the World Series), and what the network is billing as “a special episode” of the series is set to run the day after the NFL title game, Feb. 10.
Fox has also set the rest of its midseason debuts. The third season of Animal Control will premiere Jan. 2, pairing with the Denis Leary-led comedy Going Dutch on Thursday nights. Medical drama Doc is set to premiere Jan.

It’s time for the Monday shows to take their first breaks of the season. The good news is we’re getting some reruns of most of them. Brilliant Minds, Superman & Lois, and more
There is another new episode of Brilliant Minds tonight. It picks up off the back of the heartbreaking way the previous episode ended. It is not uncommon for TV stars to direct episodes of the series on which they appear. Alan Alda, Mike Farrell, Harry Morgan and David Ogden Stiers all directed more than one episode of "M*A*S*H;" Peter Bonerz became a prolific director of television shows and films after directing 29 episodes of "The Bob Newhart Show;" and Penny Marshall might never have brought us such big screen classics as "Big" and "A League of Their Own" had she not started out directing on "Laverne & Shirley."
For the directing curious, the set of a long-running television show is a great place to cut one's teeth, so it's no surprise that two members of the Jeffersonian Institute Medico-Legal Lab found their way behind the camera during the 12-season run of "Bones." The most frequent guest in video village was David Boreanaz, who played the hard-charging FBI Agent Seeley Booth. He...

911: Lone Star just put Tommy through a huge ordeal, and Gina Torres talks about what it means!
Caution: This article contains Spoilers for 911: Lone Star Season 5 Episode 8
911: Lone Star fans are still adjusting to how this will be the final season for the Fox rescue drama. It has had major turns like Grace departing on a missionary job, Judd returning to the station now as a probie, Paul being promoted to lieutenant, some marriage issues between Tk and Carlos, and Owen handling helping his brother die with dignity.
The latest episode added more drama, like the return of Tk’s stepfather Enzo, who gifted him with a car. That had Owen a bit jealous of Tk liking Enzo more, not helped when he accidentally broke the guy’s wrist in an arm wrestling match, and an angry Tk revealed it was Enzo who inspired him to be a firefighter.

While 911: Lone Star is nearing the end of its run, Gina Torres' Tommy Vega's story could potentially finish before the final episode airs.
Through its five seasons, a rotating cast of leading characters pushed 911: Lone Star's narrative forward. However, more so than its parent show, 911, a handful of actors have been spotlighted in the main cast before exiting, including Sierra McClain's Grace Ryder prior to 911: Lone Star Season 5.
Torres has been part of the Lone Star cast since Season 2 as Tommy Vega, Station 126's paramedic captain who returned to work after her husband shut down his restaurant.

While one network puts a show on a break, another network returns from its break last week. Let’s take a look at everything on TV tonight, Monday, Nov. 4.
This week isn’t quite back to normal. Not only will we see Election Night take over tomorrow, but the various networks are in their scheduled breaks. Remember that there are more weeks in a TV year than there are episodes, so regular breaks are needed. We’re hitting one of those points.
911: Lone Star returns, SNL Election special, and more
Fox is back with new episodes of its two dramas. 911: Lone Star kicks things off with Owen being forced to let go of his past. The only way to train Thunder is to allow himself to connect with the horse. The problem is his decisions in the past to help his brother die are playing on his mind.
This week isn’t quite back to normal. Not only will we see Election Night take over tomorrow, but the various networks are in their scheduled breaks. Remember that there are more weeks in a TV year than there are episodes, so regular breaks are needed. We’re hitting one of those points.

Could 911 fans be saying "aloha" to a Hawaii-based spinoff? Here's what we know!
911 has become a steady hit with six seasons on Fox before it was surprisingly canceled by the network. More surprising was that at the same time, the show moved to ABC. It's rare for a show already an established hit to jump networks like this, but so far, it's paid dividends for 911.
With ABC's much higher budgets, the show can afford bigger events like Season 7's cruise ship disaster and Season 8's "Beenado" and plane emergency. Season 7 was cut down to only ten episodes due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes while Season 8 looks to be a full 22 episodes.
A new 911 spin-off in the works
Sadly, 911: Lone Star is confirmed as ending with its current fifth season. The combination of lower ratings without the mothership 911 show and the big budget involved ended the spin-off while the original 911 is still going.

Exclusive: A new location has emerged as a leading contender to serve as backdrop for the anticipated second 9-1-1 spinoff in the works at ABC from Ryan Murphy and Tim Minear. According to sources, Hawaii is heating up as a potential setting for the offshoot, which, as Deadline reported earlier this month, has been picking up momentum after a lengthy gestational period. It is yet to be greenlighted.
During the gestational period, other places were considered to follow Los Angeles (9-1-1) and Austin (9-1-1: Lone Star), with Las Vegas at one point emerging as a favorite.
That has now shifted to America’s 50th state, we hear. Reps for ABC and studio 20th Television, which is behind the first-responder drama franchise, declined comment.
With its paradise-like tropical setting and many beaches, the allure of Hawaii is clear, and it fits the aspirational tone of Murphy’s broadcast fare,...
