Featured review
This is a feature-length documentary, found on the second disc of the Extreme Version DVD release of Blade: Trinity. It is in 16 parts, and consists of behind-the-scenes footage, cast and crew interviews, clips from the movie and shots of visual effects at different stages of completion. Each area is nicely covered, the entire process, pre-, production and post gone into in pretty good detail. Everyone who speaks in this has something to say, and the majority of them make you laugh, too(chief among them being Reynolds, and Purcell is funny, as well). This is genuinely interesting, entertaining and informative, and provides plenty of insight into all the departments that went into putting the story up on the screen, their approach and what they did to accomplish the goal. Costumes, design, sound, acting, editing, music... everything is covered in the 105 or so minutes. This is well-paced, it doesn't really linger on any aspect, nor does it rush past any of them. The editing is great, sharp. There is strong language in this, if it is somewhat infrequent. I recommend this to anyone who wants to know about the film and the work that went into making it. 7/10
