While this is listed as a comedy, don't expect it to be the kind of comedy that will have you bursting out in tears from laughing. No, this is more of a subtle and off-beat kind of comedy. But it still worked out nicely enough.
The story is about a mall cop named Frank (played by Derek Cecil) who ends up losing his job because of a foul accident at work. Returning to his former workplace some time afterwards, Frank happens to meet his replacement at work, the new mall cop Donna (played by Kathleen Robertson) and a chance friendship starts to bloom.
What makes this movie interesting is the odd characters, because they each had their own unique - and very distinctive - traits, which really helped the characters stand out on the screen. And the characters were nicely portrayed by the various actors and actresses in the movie.
The storyline in "Mall Cop" is also good, not grand though. But it is entertaining and continuously progresses at a good pace.
"Mall Cop" was actually a nice surprise of a movie, and is well worth sitting down to watch.
