Channel 4 has unveiled details of its Christmas and New Year schedule for 2013/14.

The current series of Homeland and Made in Chelsea will draw to a close over the festive period, while Educating Yorkshire returns for a Christmas special.

On Thursday, December 19, viewers will have the chance to catch up with their favourite teachers and pupils in Educating Yorkshire at Christmas. The festive edition will feature much-loved student Musharaf among others.

On Saturday, December 21, Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn star in Four Christmases at 9pm, followed by the network premiere of Alister Grierson's caving drama Sanctum at 10.40pm.

The third season of Homeland concludes with season finale 'The Star' on Sunday, December 22 at 9pm. It will be preceded by Night at the Museum 2 at 6.55pm and Keira Knightley's Never Let Me Go will follow at 10.25pm.

Anatomy of a Murder (Criterion Collection) I looked back through my Netflix queue to see when I first watched Anatomy of a Murder and it turns out it was back in January 2009 and while I remembered enjoying it I didn't remember the film per se. So it was a treat to pop this new Criterion Blu-ray in the player and settle in to Otto Preminger's 1959 thriller with James Stewart in the lead and an impressive supporting cast and a feature filled with dialogue you can't get enough of.

As for the transfer, it's almost too good as a moment early on featuring the makeup on Lee Remick's bruised face is so obvious it's almost comical, but you're hardly paying attention as she does everything in her power to seduce Stewart into taking her husband's case.

There are far too many feel-good Christmas movies (as well as some feel-bad holiday movies) out there to choose from, so if you find yourself stumped come December 25, never fear -- the MTV Movies team has compiled our all-time favorite holiday movie viewing experiences to make your season bright.

In 2011, Hollywood will rely on former glories to a greater degree than ever before. Sequels (including prequels and spin-offs) comprise over a fifth of the currently scheduled nationwide releases, tallying 27. Last year, there were 19, and the previous high was 24 in 2003. Of the 27 sequels, nine are second movies (Cars 2, Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules, The Hangover Part II, Happy Feet 2, Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil, Johnny English Reborn, Kung Fu Panda 2, Piranha 3Dd, Sherlock Holmes 2), up from eight in 2010. Five are third movies (Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son, Madea's Big Happy Family, Paranormal Activity 3, Transformers: Dark of the Moon), down from seven in 2010. Deeper cut sequels will be well represented all the way up to No. 8.
