The world’s Richest Actor Jami Gertz (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Jami Gertz—sound familiar? Well, it should. This Chicago-born actress quietly sits at the top of the wealthiest actors list, with a net worth of $3B (£2.45B). While everyone’s obsessed with Tom Cruise or Shah Rukh Khan, Gertz has been stacking her billions in the background, and we’re just now catching up.
Her journey to this mind-blowing fortune wasn’t your typical Hollywood rise. It all started in fifth grade when Gertz played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz—and guess what? She loved it. So, she decided acting was her destiny. Fast forward to 1981, and she was starring in Endless Love. She went on to rock sitcoms like Still Standing and The Neighbors, making a name for herself in the acting world. But that’s not what made her billions.
In 1989, Gertz married Tony Ressler, a banker at the time.

Jami Gertz's Melissa was an innocent character in Twister. Melissa wasn't a villain as she was more understanding than most would be if their fianc was still in love with his (almost) ex-wife. Melissa didn't fall into typical "other woman" stereotypes, and more viewers should respect her instead of painting her out to be a bad person.
Twister contains a couple of villains (including tornadoes themselves), and while some might perceive Jami Gertz's character as one of the bad guys, she isn't deserving of any hate and warrants much more respect than she gets. Gertz stars as Dr. Melissa Reeves, Bill's fiance, in the Twister cast. From the beginning of the 1996 disaster thriller film, it is evident that the movie wants the audience to root for Bill and Melissa to break up so that he can reunite with Jo, but that doesn't mean that Melissa is a bad person.

However, many would be surprised to know that the richest actor in the world has not been an active face in the industry for now. We’ve been referring to The Lost Boys actor Jami Gertz who has a massive net worth of $3 billion as of 2023.

Ben Savage, known for his role as Cory Matthews in Boy Meets World, pursued other acting roles after the show ended, appearing in movies and TV shows like Palo Alto, CA and Girl Meets World. Savage attended Stanford University and earned a Bachelor's degree in political science, which led to his interest in politics and a career shift in that direction. Savage reportedly stopped talking to his Boy Meets World castmates in 2020, possibly due to his focus on politics and the demands of running a political campaign. His most recent onscreen appearance was in the 2022 Lifetime movie Girl in the Shed: The Kidnapping of Abby Hernandez.

The latest feature from David Fincher, a big-budget drama series from Steven Knight and Shawn Levy, and an Oscar hopeful starring Annette Bening and Jodie Foster are among the standout new additions hitting Netflix in November.
With The Killer, Fincher reteams with Seven writer Andrew Kevin Walker to adapt the graphic novel written by Alexis Nolent. The film, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival this year and debuts on Netflix on Nov. 10, stars Michael Fassbender as a shadowy unnamed assassin and features a cast that includes Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, Gabriel Polanco, Kerry O’Malley, Emiliano Pernía, Sala Baker, Sophie Charlotte and Tilda Swinton.
The Hollywood Reporter‘s review of The Killer described the film as “a satisfyingly retro, location-hopping genre exercise with fisticuffs, gadgets (albeit ones bought from Amazon) and smooth-talking antagonists that all plays like a tongue-in-cheek spoof of James Bond movies.”

Horror’s resident St. Patrick’s Day icon built a reputation on schlock. Rhyming puns, a hokey sense of humor that includes an obsession with shoes and gold, and a serious case of wanderlust – the pint-sized killer has traveled from Hollywood, Vegas, space, and the hood, after all.
Surprisingly, though, the Leprechaun ranks pretty high on the list in terms of horror icons with the most kills. He’s managed to surpass fellow figures Chucky and Freddy Krueger as he has now murdered his way through eight films. Freddy and pals have the edge when it comes to creative deaths; a lot of little Lep’s slaying happens off-screen or via quick cutaways.
That’s not to say there aren’t some gory gems throughout the franchise, though.
In keeping with the spirit of revelry for St. Patrick’s Day, we’re celebrating the best kills of the Leprechaun series.

If you've seen Rose McIver or Utkarsh Ambudkar on Stephen Colbert, CBS Mornings, or various other stops on the press circuit lately, it's because they are now the stars of a big TV show in Ghosts.
Adapted from a British TV show by Joe Port, many viewers might not have had a lot of hope for the show considering the mixed history of British TV spin-offs and the fact that it was dumped onto network TV rather than an edgier network.
However, the show was network television's highest-rated new comedy last year.
It has also continued to build its audience after its first season success: Variety reported that Ghosts was the network's top comedy on both live viewing and the Paramount Plus streaming site, and the show has helped lift the slate of CBS sitcoms above the competition.
But why has this show broken through from such a disadvantaged start?...

At some point, you’ve probably made fun of one of those cheesy sitcoms about an oafish man with a beautiful, impossibly patient wife. That’s because those kinds of sitcoms have been around for our entire lives, going back practically to the start of television itself. Some of these shows have been great (The Honeymooners), some have been fine (Still Standing), and some have been According to Jim. They are, like cop shows, one of TV’s most renewable resources, enduring perhaps because viewers see more of themselves than...

Exclusive: Jag alum David James Elliott and Joel Murray (Mad Men) are set for recurring roles opposite Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig in Heels, Starz’s eight-episode hourlong drama set in the outrageous world of independent professional wrestling.
Written by Michael Waldron, with Mike O’Malley as showrunner, Heels is a story about the men and women who chase their dreams in the world of small-town pro wrestling. Set in a close-knit Georgia community, it follows a family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers and rivals, Jack Spade (Amell) and Ace Spade (Ludwig), war over their late father’s legacy. In the ring, somebody must play the good guy (Ludwig) and somebody must play their nemesis, the heel (Amell). But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to — or hard to leave behind.

This Fear the Walking Dead article contains spoilers.
Fear the Walking Dead season 6 delivered its first big reveal of the season at the very end of “Alaska.” After months of searching for his long lost wife, Dwight finally reunited with Sherry (Christine Evangelista) in a surprising manner, connecting via walkie basically out of nowhere. Whatever you might think of the way the reunion was executed — I found the matter-of-fact way Dwight ran into Sherry to be a bit underwhelming — this cliffhanger ending marks a major milestone in Dwight’s story of love lost. Now reunited with Sherry, perhaps the former Saviors can finally begin to do what Morgan begged that they do at the end of season 5: live.
But where has Sherry been all of this time? In case you don’t remember, she’s been missing since The Walking Dead season 7 episode “Hostiles and Calamities.” After freeing Daryl...

It didn’t take long for the shorts programme that is part of the Singapore International Film Festival’s Singapore Panorama strand at the National Museum of Singapore on Nov. 27 to sell out. ITV Studios’ Armoza Formats has inked a co-development deal with major Chinese broadcaster Hunan TV. The first show to come out of the partnership is dance competition “Dance Smash,” which began airing in China this month.
The show is based on Quebecor Content and Fair-Play’s format “Dance Revolution,” which originally aired on Canada’s Tva. It places performers in the middle of a circle of cameras that provide a real-time 360-degree view of their moves, allowing judges to analyze and critique their performance from all angles as they compete for a cash prize.
The new China program recently debuted to a 5.2% share, including a 7.8% share with viewers under 23, making it the best debut for a broadcast TV dance competition show in the past two years. A Russian adaptation of the same format was recently commissioned by the country’s Channel One.

At CBS, ads have a chance to make a big splash on screen, whether they be a shout out to Sabra hummus from late-night host Stephen Colbert, a scene in “Hawaii Five-0” about Sweet Onion Teryiaki sandwiches from Subway or a bar sponsored by Anheuser-Busch and Heineken on the set of James Corden’s “Late Late Show.”
At Viacom, however, some of the most important advertising takes place behind the scenes. The youth-skewing cable programmer has spent months beefing up its efforts to help marketers like Pepsi, Procter & Gamble and General Motors places commercials in the programs and time slots seen by their likeliest customers – all with the help of heady brews of consumer data and custom algorithms. And executives are placing more emphasis on using social media and an array of influencers, along with the advertising that typically accompanies TV programs.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 8
You’ve got to hand it to Fear the Walking Dead. Many viewers may not have liked this more optimistic, glass-half-full take on the zombie apocalypse (myself included), but showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Evan Goldberg were determined to put a more positive spin on a genre that generally seems to revel in its bleakness. Starting with last season’s “...I Lose Myself,” Fear injected the Walking Dead universe with a kind of unapologetic hopefulness that often crossed dangerously close into maudlin territory. The first half of this season also dabbled a bit in camp, with very mixed results.
And now, here we are at Season 5’s midway point, and the group (and thereby Fear itself) has...

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Sunday’s Fear the Walking Dead. If you’ve yet to watch and prefer to be surprised, move away as if a radioactive growler is lumbering toward you.
I think we all felt pretty confident going into Sunday’s Fear the Walking Dead that, despite the fact that “The Little Prince” left several characters in jeopardy, no one was actually going to bite the dust. So color at least me stunned that “Still Standing” appeared to sign a death warrant for not just a character but one of the ones we really care about.

Poor Alicia.
On Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 7, Alycia Debnam Carey's alter ego became a casualty of the abysmal writing that has been plaguing Fear the Walking Dead Season 5.
If you watch Fear the Walking Dead online, you know that she has dealt with a lot of loss throughout the years, but the deaths of her mother and brother changed the course of her life forever.
Her recent journey has mostly revolved around her plight to rid the world of the walkers and save as many people as she can, putting her at odds with most of her allies because she's putting her life on the line in the process.
There's a young woman here who needs therapy to help her overcome the loss that she's endured, but instead, the creative forces behind the show thought that a slow death was just what the doctor ordered.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 7
Fear the Walking Dead follows up last week’s disastrous “The Little Prince” with an episode that is fractionally better. Which is troubling when you consider that next week is the mid-season finale. For all the walker-killing action in “Still Standing,” there’s only a moment near the end that held any sort of genuine suspense. Of course I’m talking about Alicia, who hasn’t looked so haggard since drinking antifreeze-tainted water in the Season 4 finale. She obviously pulled through, but I do wonder if Fear has the guts to completely kill off the Clarke bloodline. Personally, I think this would be a huge mistake, especially since Alycia Debnam-Carey is one of the show’s more compelling actors.

Hey, "Fear The Walking Dead" fans. We hope you guys enjoyed tonight's episode 6. Now that it's officially done and over, it's time to take a look at a few things that will be taking place in next week's brand new episode 7. We were able to get our hands on a few teaser descriptions from the wonderful AMC folks. So, we will certainly be referencing those in this spoiler session. To get things started, we will go ahead and take a look at the title for episode 7. It has been revealed that the producers named it, "Still Standing." That sounds like a nice, solid title. It's not really unique or anything, but it works for this episode I guess. It sounds like episode 7 will feature some very intense, possible dramatic and action-filled scenes as Victor Strand and Charlie are in trouble. Dorie helps out Dwight. Morgan tries to accomplish a much greater task.

Adam F. Goldberg, creator of ABC comedy series The Goldbergs and co-creator of spinoff series Schooled, is moving to ABC Studios from his longtime studio home at Sony Pictures TV with a big four-year overall deal.
Under the pact, which had been in the works for months, Goldberg will continue as executive producer on his autobiographical 1980s comedy series The Goldbergs, which was just renewed for a seventh season, and on 1990s spinoff, which he co-created with Marc Firek. The freshman was just picked up for a second season. Both shows are produced by Sony TV. Additionally, Goldberg will develop new projects for ABC Studios.
Goldberg is moving to ABC Studios after a decade at Sony TV. In 2010, he landed his first broadcast pilot order with the Sony TV comedy Breaking In on Fox. The project, which he co-created with Seth Gordon, went to series, which starred Christian Slater and aired for two seasons.

As a man who enjoys fashion and costumes, I’m always excited when “Project Runway” does menswear, but I probably wasn’t as excited as the designers were for their Elton John challenge in “The Stitch is Back.” Bravo previewed just how thirsty the designers were for their hunky models. But did that keep them from getting their work done? By the end of the episode, who was “Still Standing,” and who said “Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road”? Find out below in our live blog with all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.
On paper, an Elton John challenge sounded ideal for avant garde menswear designer Jamall Osterholm, who desperately needed another comeback after getting stuck at the bottom of the heap during last week’s “Blame it on Rio” team challenge when he had immunity. Garo Sparo‘s extravagant, corseted club looks also seemed like they would be a perfect fit — literally and figuratively.

Broadway actress and three-time Tony nominee Marin Mazzie died this morning in New York. She was 57.
Her death was announced by her husband, actor Jason Danieley. Mazzie had been fighting ovarian cancer since her diagnosis three years ago.
Lauded for her unforgettable performances in Ragtime, Kiss Me, Kate and, perhaps most of all, Stephen Sondheim’s 1994 musical Passion, Mazzie was mourned today by Broadway. “This is absolutely devastating,” tweeted Patti Murin of Frozen. “What a bright, shining light she was…”
“The lights of Broadway all shine a little dimmer tonight,” wrote Daniel Dae Kim, her co-star in 2016’s The King and I. “My heart goes out to Jason and all who were lucky enough to call her family or friend.”
“Beautiful, brave and inspiring,” wrote Harvey Fierstein. “A glorious voice and an even better human being…”

London – – Indian content producer Applause Entertainment has acquired remake rights to three hit Israeli shows from Israel’s Armoza Formats.
“Hostages” is a crime thriller that has been sold worldwide and was adapted for CBS by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Warner Bros. Television. “La Famiglia” and “Honey Badgers” are comedies.
Casting, writing and pre-production on the three remakes are underway.
Applause Entertainment is a part of the $50 billion Aditya Birla Group that has interests across sectors. After producing acclaimed Bollywood films “Dev” (2004) and “Black” (2005), the company lay dormant for more than a decade before being revived in 2017 with a $45 million budget under the leadership of television industry veteran Sameer Nair with a view to creating content for digital platforms. Earlier this year, Applause acquired the rights to BBC shows “The Office” and “Criminal Justice”.

Taron Egerton chats to us about Sing, Kingsman 2, a possible third film, and a big deleted scene from Kingsman…
Taron Egerton is, as he will tell you himself, easily best known for his role as Eggsy in Kingsman and its rapidly incoming sequel. In fact, so much of what I knew about Egerton comes from watching him in charm up the screen in Kingsman and Eddie The Eagle that I was a little surprised to see just how good a job he also does in Sing, playing a singing gorilla who’d rather tickle the ivories than drive get-away for his family of bank robbers. Singing is a particular skill of course but, as Egerton and I discussed, so is providing the voice of an animated character.
We met last week and chatted about Sing, Kingsman chapters two and beyond, and what else Egerton has on his To Do list.

Although it came as no surprise to the Illumination animators in Paris that live-action director Garth Jennings wanted them to approach their first musical extravaganza, “Sing,” more like “The Commitments” than “Despicable Me,” only with animals, they had no idea what they were in for. Long takes, wild camera work, off-beat song and dance performances and naturalistic acting required greater teamwork and more time than any of their previous movies.
“It was an acting breakthrough because of Garth,” animation director Pierre Leduc told IndieWire. “He pushed us to add more feeling to the characters and to push the way they moved in a more particular way.”

Who saw this couple coming?!
Jersey Shore's Ronnie Magro is now dating fellow reality star Maliqa Haqq, aka Khloe Kardashian's best friend. The two met filming the second season of E!'s Famously Single, which follows eight single celebrities who all move in together to solve their romantic problems.
