Kyle Mooney (“SNL”) is so personally invested in supporting his new A24 film “Y2K,” he’s taking viewers on a journey back to his life in 1999. A typical Mooney day back then included hacky sack, skateboarding, chillin’ at the mall, and downing some Mickey’s Big Mouth — if he could get someone of age to buy it for him, that is.
In addition to the meta day-in-the-life video, in which ’99 Mooney shares his desperation to have a viral moment in 2024, “Y2K” now includes a functional “microsite” in promotion for the film. Check it out here.
On the very-1999-looking website designed to look like your PC desktop, visitors can set an Away Message, burn a CD of ’90s jams, and talk about the old days with an AI chat bot.
The chat bot lives in 1999, but is very much built by 2024 technology — it’s a trip.

"Bones" was never a show that held back when it came to depicting bodies in various states of decay. This was a series that somehow managed to balance a lighthearted banter between its two series leads, FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanez) and forensic anthropologist Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel), with some of the most horrific cadavers you ever saw on network TV.
There were bodies that upset actors, such as the time Eric Millegan got grossed out, and even a dead body that was so gruesome it went too far for one "Bones" producer in particular. In other words, this was a show that did not feel the need to censor its depiction of death. But that doesn't mean the writers weren't compelled to take a more modest approach to other aspects of the crime procedural.

Fast Friends game show arrives in December just in time for the holidays (Release date and schedule)
In September 2024, Max announced it was bringing us a Friends game show, aka Fast Friends, to our screens, which is definitely exciting for fans! Look, sometimes things like these can be unnecessary. But I do think that the program will be worth tuning in to. Or, it at least deserves a shot.
The streamer got things filmed pretty quickly in October 2024 at the Friends Experience: The One in New York City, and now we already have a release date to look forward to. And it's before the end of the year! Fast Friends premieres Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024 on Max, TVLine reports.
There's a total of four episodes, which will come out each week on Thursdays. So expect the last episode of the Friends game show to be released Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025. Comedian and actress Whitney Cummings takes on hosting duties. Here's the release schedule:
Episode 1 - Dec. 19, 2024Episode 2 - Dec. 26, 2024Episode 3 - Jan.

Friends, one of the most iconic sitcoms, has been a favorite since it first aired in 1994. Many of us have spent countless hours binge-watching it, laughing at the hilarious antics of the characters or feeling emotional when the series finale hit us right in the feels. It was hard to say goodbye, knowing we’d no longer see Joey’s clueless charm, Chandler’s witty sarcasm, or Phoebe’s wonderfully weird personality. Monica’s obsessive organization and Ross and Rachel’s rollercoaster of a relationship also left an unforgettable mark in our hearts.

But here’s an interesting fact. The popular term “friend zone” that we often use today? It became widely recognized thanks to Joey Tribbiani, played by Matt LeBlanc. His character may have struggled with relationships at times, but he certainly gave us some memorable phrases!

When it comes to action flicks, Jet Li doesn’t pull punches—literally or figuratively. The martial arts legend has one clear reason why Hollywood keeps trading in the real, gritty moves for flashy CGI: not all actors can actually fight. According to Li, authentic martial arts on screen require an actor who can handle real, complex choreography.

But in a time when special effects can conjure up almost anything, who needs a training montage? CGI might be a shortcut, but it’s missing the spark that only true martial artists bring to the screen.

When TV One launched in January 2004, it settled itself comfortably as a new option for Black, adult audiences within the deserted basic cable market that catered to Black content, where successful networks like BET ruled.
Now 20 years later, TV One has expanded with fresh verticals like its Black woman-driven network Cleo TV while captivating audiences with addictive shows like”Raising Fame.” Network president Michelle L. Rice has been there literally since the beginning, and she maintains that TV One’s mission to remain Black-owned and independent won’t waver despite the hurdles that come with it.
“We want to stay an independent and Black-owned voice. And that in and of itself is a challenge,” Rice told TheWrap for this week’s Office With a View Q&a. “We have to really straddle the fence of staying independent, staying Black, staying true to who we are and the mission of our company.

The Boys is a fantastic TV series any way you see it, but it wouldn't be the same without its many antagonists. The reason we want to see Billy Butcher, Hughie, and the rest of the team succeed so badly is so that we can see the bad guys fail. They deserve it, after all. They commit hundreds of despicable acts that have made us think time and time again: "I really hate this character".
But that's part of The Boys' charm. It wouldn't be so engaging to watch if it weren't for its wicked villains and all their doings. So today we're celebrating the worst of the worst and ranking six characters of the Prime Series that we love to hate. But before we begin, Be warned: There will be spoilers for all four seasons of The Boys released so far.

Let's kick things off with the most harmless character on the list.

Matt LeBlanc, with his iconic portrayal of Joey Tribbiani on Friends, became a household name. But before the iconic sitcom, he had a role in a Married With Children spin-off called Top of the Heap that many might not be aware of. He played Vinnie Verducci, a character who always found himself in comedic situations.

Britney Spears has given us some of the most memorable dance songs of the past 25 years. She’s also really bad at doing covers. She’s managed to ruin tracks from many different genres, including 1960s psychedelia, hard rock, and an a capella classic.
5. ‘The Beat Goes On’
In many ways, Spears is the heir to Cher. It only made sense for her to record “The Beat Goes On,” one of Cher’s most beloved hits from her days with Sonny Bono. However, the production on Spears’ version is horrid and the tune sounds out-of-place on one of the records that defined 1999.
At least Spears was staying in her lane with this one. She was a pop diva taking on the work of another pop dive. Many of her later covers were more awkward because she went out of her comfort zone.

Not all actors sit down and watch their work. Some wait years after a release to watch the shows or movies they appeared in. Ray Romano is one of those actors. Romano spent nearly a decade acting in an iconic sitcom but only recently sat down to watch Everybody Loves Raymond’s 210 episodes. He also rated each one. His favorite episodes align with viewer sentiment.

Ryan Gosling mesmerized everyone at the the prestigious 96th Academy Awards with his iconic performance of I’m Just Ken, a song from Greta Gerwig’s 2023 film, Barbie. The performance was spellbinding as it left everyone at the ceremony grooving to the mellifluous voice of the Blue Valentine actor. Safe to say, that the actor had stole the show on the Oscars stage by being Ken.

However, throughout his Oscars performance, Gosling was worried for the well-being of one MCU star, as Simu Liu had torn his Achilles heel and was on his way to recovery. Ryan Gosling has revealed a moment in 2016’s La La Land that still “haunts” him to this day.
In an interview for WSJ Magazine‘s “The One” video series, the actor admitted that if he could, he would reshoot the film’s dance sequence with co-star Emma Stone that was featured on the movie’s promo poster. As for his reason why, it’s all because of what he described as his “La La Hand.”
“There’s a moment that haunts me where we’re dancing, Emma and I. I didn’t know this would become the poster for the movie,” The Fall Guy actor said before letting out a long sigh. “But I thought we were supposed to have our hands up and I thought it’d be cool to put my hand like that,” referring to his wrist slanting down compared to Stone’s hand, as seen in the photo above.

Carin León feels like he’s been hallucinating the last three weekends.
He’s running on just a few hours of sleep and the high of making history at Stagecoach, where he became the first música mexicana singer to perform at the country festival. Onstage, León looked like any other country act, sporting a sleeveless button-up shirt and a matching cowboy hat. But instead, he performed his rootsy, romantic rolas, backed by a full banda: tubas, accordion, and all.
León sees his efforts to blend country music with música mexicana as a poker match.

Back in 2009, a horror film called Orphan told us the story of a married couple who adopts a 9-year-old Russian girl only to discover that she’s actually a criminal adult passing herself off as a child. The film was loosely based on the true story of Barbora Skrlova, a 30-something woman who pretended to be a 13-year-old and did some very twisted things that were very different than what we saw in Orphan. In 2012, a sad case that made it into news reports reminded people of Orphan. It was the story of Natalia Grace, a Ukrainian-born girl with dwarfism who was adopted by American parents who began to suspect she was much older than records said she was. The Grace case has been covered on Dr. Phil and the docu-series The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, and now the Hulu streaming service is moving forward with a Natalia Grace-inspired...

Although some may find the new mystery Wicked Little Letters a bit lax in actual mystery, an incredibly strong cast, led by Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley manages to elevate the film to a wickedly clever piece that makes up for its shortcomings with unabashed enthusiasm and excitement.
Based on an allegedly true story, Wicked Little Letters tells the tale of two women: Edith Swan (Colman) and Rose Gooding (Buckley) who, after Rose is accused of sending Edith and several of the town’s residents several profane letters, set about investigating the crime themselves to prove that Rose is innocent.

"It's time you owned up to these letters!" Sony Pictures Classics has revealed a new official US trailer for a British comedy called Wicked Little Letters, described as a "scandalously sweary" film from filmmaker Thea Sharrock (Me Before You and The One & Only Ivan). This premiered at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival last year, and now has US release dates set - in NY & LA on March 29th and nationwide on April 5th this spring. Small town. Big mystery. Bad language. When people in Littlehampton - including conservative local Edith - begin to receive letters full of hilariously harsh profanities, rowdy Irish migrant Rose is charged with the crime. Suspecting something is amiss, the town's women investigate. Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley star as Edith and Rose, respectively, with Timothy Spall, Gemma Jones, Lolly Adefope, and Anjana Vasan. This does look hilarious! Reviews from TIFF praise the film saying: "The central...

“The Bachelor” returns with a new leading man! Joey Graziadei, the 28-year-old tennis player best known as the runner-up from Season 20 of “The Bachelorette,” is searching for “The One” in ABC’s new trailer for the show’s 28th season.
In the new footage, which aired during the “Bachelor in Paradise” finale, Graziadei attempts to find love — but his ending may not be a happy one.
Graziadei had his heart broken by bachelorette Charity Lawson on the finale of “The Bachelorette,” which aired over the summer. “This is crazy,” Graziadei told host Jesse Palmer at the time. “I never expected this at all.
