The popular crime drama "Prison Break" ran for four seasons on Fox, returning for a successful revival season in 2017 and finding renewed success on Netflix. The series followed two brothers locked up in a maximum security prison looking to escape together and prove their innocence. As the story progresses, a large government conspiracy is uncovered while the brothers are on the run from the authorities. Led by series stars Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller, "Prison Break" boasts an impressive and extensive ensemble cast.
With so much time having passed since "Prison Break" began in 2005, its cast have since gone off in different directions in their lives and careers. Several major cast members have found even greater professional success elsewhere, while others have stepped away from acting or moved smaller projects. If you've been wondering what the main cast of "Prison Break" has been up to since the hit Fox series came to an end,...

Like many others from my generation, I grew up obsessed with gaming and paleontology. So imagine the grin on my 8-year-old face when I wandered into the videogame section of my local Blockbuster and found a title literally called “Dino Crisis”. Ignoring the back of the case (not to mention the Esrb rating), I begged my parents to rent the game and raced home to try out what I thought was going to be a fun little shooter.
Suffice to say that I couldn’t get 15 minutes into the game before turning the TV off and resigning myself to reptilian nightmares. Years later, I revisited the game with a friend and beat it all in one incredibly entertaining sitting, defeating my own childhood trauma and becoming a massive fan of Capcom’s other iconic survival horror franchise.

Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment has bought the assets of Sonar Entertainment, the well-established production entity built by Robert Halmi Sr.
The up-front cost is just $19.5 million, but the ultimate valuation will likely grow over time, as future licensing proceeds will also be split with Sonar. The initial payment is considered an advance, which will be recouped by Chicken Soup upon the sale or licensing of certain TV rights. About $1 billion has been invested into film and TV projects controlled by Sonar, according to the official deal announcement. Among the company’s current series are Hunters on Amazon Prime Video and the soon-to-premiere Mysterious Benedict Society on Disney+.
Screen Media, a division of Csse, will distribute Sonar’s library of more than 1,000 titles. Those offerings include Hal Roach Studios shorts like Little Rascals, Laurel & Hardy and Blondie and miniseries like Lonesome Dove and Dinotopia.
The acquisition covers 372 TV series and more than 700 Films.

Mike Fenton, the legendary casting director who worked on the “Back to the Future” franchise, “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and scores of other classic movies and TV shows, has died. He was 85.
Fenton co-founded what is now known as Casting Society of America in 1982. He was a prominent casting director for more than 40 years, with a mile-long resume that stretched from “The Andy Griffith Show” and “That Girl” to “Chinatown,” “American Graffiti,” “The Godfather II,” “Blade Runner,” “A Christmas Story,” “Norma Rae,” “Footloose,” “Honeymoon in Vegas” and “Chaplin.”
“Working with Mike Fenton was like working in a candy store — he made casting a blast,” Steven Spielberg said in a statement. “His fervent support of actors was the stuff of legend, and after landing a part, any actor’s smile was rarely as wide as Mike’s. He didn’t just support actors, he launched crusades.

While Armando Iannucci‘s “Veep” failed to turn any of its nominations in to wins at this year’s Emmys, the writer/director is all but certain to get some love from the BAFTAs and Oscars for his new film “The Personal History of David Copperfield.” Iannucci’s lovingly crafted adaptation of his favorite of Charles Dickens‘ novels opened the BFI London Film Festival and was very well-received.
The cast is refreshingly diverse for a period piece. This color blind casting makes the film feel very modern. Today’s audiences will recognise and relate to these Victorian era characters. Wentworth Miller first entered our radar with guest shots on Popular and Buffy, and moved on to the mini-series Dinotopia, but it was his breakout role as the tattooed Michael Scofield in Fox’s hit Prison Break that really began our obsession.
We were delighted when he publicly came out last summer, and his speech at the Hrc was stunning and powerful.
Today is his 42nd birthday, and we look forward to what he has to offer next (in addition to acting, he’s also an accomplished screenwriter). Enjoy this gallery of some of the highlights of his career.
Happy Birthday, Wentworth!

Bells, wires, computers are all part of the music in Edgar Wright’s The World’S End. As you head off to the theaters this weekend to see the film, have your ears on the lookout, or listenout, for Award winning composer Steven Price’s score.
Reteaming director Edgar Wright with actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, The World’S End reunites five friends who return to their hometown to relive an epic pub crawl from their youth. Along the way, the “five musketeers” uncover an alien invasion and soon learn that they are mankind’s only hope of survival.
Price joins the dynamic comedic team of Wright, Pegg, and Frost following the trio’s success with Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz.
His passion for music began early: a guitarist from the age of five, he went on to achieve a First Class degree in Music from Cambridge University.

Our Deaths, in memoriam was the project title of Lav Diaz' Kagadanan sa Banwaan Ning mga Engkanto (2007). For the Ferroni Brigade, it became the motto of Venice 2011—specters of dear lives gone seemed to roam the event, the Mostra internazionale d’arte cinematografica as well as the Esposizione internazionale d'arte, and beyond.
We always commemorate the murder of Nika Bohinc and Alexis Tioseco on September 1st 2009, quietly, invariably in Venice; it was here that we heard about the crime; now, whenever we go to the press room to check our e-mails, deep down something inside us is afraid of getting another message like that one; fittingly, one of the last films we saw this year was Diaz' latest, Siglo ng Pagluluwal (Century of Birthing, 2011), which ends with a dedication to them, and talks about the way our loved ones, just like cherished ideas, notions and visions are essentially eternal,...

As Sneak Peek first reported May 2010, producer Robert Rodriguez continues developing the Ralph Bakshi/Frank Frazetta, 1983 animated feature "Fire and Ice", as a live-action motion picture, currently set up at Rodriguez' Troublemaker Studios.
Originally budgeted at $1.2 million, the original 1983, PG-rated animated "Fire And Ice", available on Blu-ray, was a unique collaboration between director Bakshi ("Fritz The Cat", "New Adventures Of Mighty Mouse") and illustrator Frazetta.
Based on characters Bakshi and Frazetta co-created, the film made use of 'rotoscoping', shooting live action traced onto animation cels, embellished by the unmistakable style of Frazetta, regarded as the finest fantasy illustrator in the field.
The original screenplay was by Marvel Comics' "Conan" writers Gerry Conway and Roy Thomas, with backgrounds by James Gurney, author/artist of the "Dinotopia" novels, and illustrator Thomas Kinkade.
"...From their stronghold in 'Icepeak', the evil 'Queen Juliana' and her son 'Nekron' send forth a wave of glaciers, forcing...

'Seven' has Brambilla's number
Marco Brambilla, director of the miniseries Dinotopia, has come aboard to helm Paramount Pictures/Nickelodeon Films' Sector Seven. There is no start date yet. The special effects-laden live-action project, written by Zack Helm, is based on the 1999 illustrated children's book of the same name by David Wiesner. It is a fantastical tale about a little boy who, on a class visit to the Empire State Building, gets whisked away by a friendly cloud to Sector Seven, a factorylike place where clouds are shaped and then distributed. The clouds ask him to draw them new shapes, and he does. By the time he is discovered by those who run the factory and is sent back down to rejoin his class, his new shapes are already in the sky. Ted Hope also is producing the project. Brambilla and Helm are both repped by CAA. Brambilla directed the features Excess Baggage and Demolition Man.
