'Max von Sydow' insisted that the parrot in the film would be called Marcello. Named after Marcello Mastroianni whom he has got to know after making several films in Italy in the past.
Dario & Asia Argento planned to make a sequel titled "Occhiali Neri (Black Sunglasses)" but due to financing problems the film never went ahead.
Translated into English, the films Italian title means "I'm not sleepy."
