Count Thibault and André attack a red SUV, saying, "Look! A red dragon!" In the original French 1993 version, they demolish a yellow postal van, but first scare off its black driver, saying, "Look! A Moor!" The scene was changed for "racial sensitivity".
Jean-Marie Poiré hated the movie, and mentioned that this was the reason why the third movie of the original French trilogy took so long to be made.
The fountain that Andre and Angelique go to is the same one seen in the opening credits of Married with Children (1987), which also starred Christina Applegate.
The ruined castle at the end of the film is Corfe castle in Dorset, England. The castle at Corfe was mixed with other footage for the interior scene as there are no low walls or views of fields.
