- Trey Anastasio: I think as long as your intention is pure, and you know what you're in it for, then you're alright. And I'm in it because I enjoy it. I take it seriously... real seriously. I mean I could sit and talk all day about the music. But I take it seriously because it gets me off. So the more I take it seriously, you know, practicing and stuff like that, the more I get off.
- Trey Anastasio: Mike, what would you say is the biggest misconception about Mike Gordon?
- Mike Gordon: I think the biggest misconception is that my eyes are really close together and my cheeks are really fat.
- Trey Anastasio: Rock and roll - on a certain level - is a bunch of bullshit, but music is not. Music is the realest thing in the world to me, and anyone who's been there can feel it.
- Trey Anastasio: So how'd you like that set last night, Mike?
- Mike Gordon: I thought you were kind of going off a little.
- Trey Anastasio: You did?
- Mike Gordon: Well, I mean you just were playing a lot of notes.
- Trey Anastasio: You always say that, man.
- Mike Gordon: Well, but I think lately I've been right!
