General Hospital spoilers for next week’s episodes tease that things in Port Charles are anything but merry.
It should be the most wonderful time of the year, but it’s not for the Quartermaine family.
What should have been a fun Christmas party turned into Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) sexcapade being outed.
There’s also Cyrus (Jeff Kober) creeping around town, killing and hurting people on a whim. He was the one who killed Sam (Kelly Monaco), and he did the same to Dex (Evan Hofer).
Next week is the last week of episodes airing all five weekdays for the year, so it will be packed with drama to send out 2024 with a bang.
Here’s what to expect next week on General Hospital.
Fallout from Dex’s death
After Dex’s death shocked General Hospital viewers on Friday’s episode, the fallout will affect Port Charles.

In a year of shocking goodbyes and exciting returns, it may be the perfect time for General Hospital to bring back two long lost characters.
Saying Goodbye
Port Charles recently said a heartbreaking goodbye to Sam (ex-Kelly Monaco) after she died (or was she killed?) from a heart attack post-surgery. Saying Goodbye
Port Charles recently said a heartbreaking goodbye to Sam (ex-Kelly Monaco) after she died (or was she killed?) from a heart attack post-surgery. Before that, Finn (ex-Michael Easton) said farewell when he entered rehab after falling off the wagon. When it comes to soaps, fans can expect quite a few characters to come and go over the years. However, fans of General Hospital are starting to think the show has been seeing too many cast changes as of late. In fact, some viewers are wondering about the direction the soap is heading.
People Are Coming & Going Rather Quickly In Port Charles
General Hospital is ABC’s last remaining soap. Following the cancelation of As the World Turns, the soap also serves at the oldest long-running soap opera.
Actress Kelly Monaco has recently left the soap after appearing for around two decades, in addition to appearing on the spin-off Port Charles. Notably, her character, Sam McCall, died of a heart attack following a liver donation on the soap.
Kelly Monaco – YouTube
Monaco wouldn’t be the only actor leaving the soap. Chad Duell also recently announced he would leave the show.

It’s Thanksgiving, a time to count your blessings. At Soap Hub, we are incredibly thankful for these soap opera moments.
Giving Thanks
I’m Rachel Dillin, Editor-in-Chief of Soap Hub, and I’m so thankful for the news of the first new soap opera in 25 years. Anticipation is high for Beyond the Gates, and I can’t wait to watch from day one. With a great cast and a wonderful writers’ room, this daytime drama is sure to be one for the ages.
Additionally, I’m so happy for villains like Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and Luna (Lisa Yamada) on The Bold and the Beautiful. Speaking of villains, it’s been a great year for them on The Young and the Restless, with Cameron (Linden Ashby) making an unexpected reappearance. Plus, I’m thrilled to see Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Ian (Ray Wise) back in Genoa City.

“Those whom choose to bully behind their power, will suffer their own consequences,” said former “General Hospital” star Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam McCall) on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this evening in response to a poster claiming the actress was let go from the daytime drama series due to “her actions.”
“[Kelly Monaco was] fired for her actions. There was no vendetta. She did this herself. She phoned in her performances for Years. She thought she had more power than she did,” the X poster commented in response to another poster who alleged that the show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, had a “personal vendetta against Kelly [which] created a hostile workplace.”
Standing up for herself, Monaco stated, “I do have more power than a ‘job’ it’s my voice, my experience, my truth. You can beat someone down, until they finally find the power within themselves to recover with grace and dignity. Those whom...

Known to be a bit hyperbolic when it comes to his status at “General Hospital,” often claiming to have been “written out” or his “run is done,” only to return shortly thereafter, this time actor Kin Shriner appears to be done for good as Scott Baldwin on the ABC daytime drama series, according to some of his recent posts on X (formerly Twitter).
In response to fans inquiring about when his next appearance on the soap opera might be, Shriner claims to have “no plans” of returning. Further, he said a flat “no” when a fan asked that very question.
Shriner’s comments came earlier this month after he made a post highlighting the anniversary of Luke and Laura’s (Genie Francis and Anthony Geary) wedding.

2024 has been a rough year for General Hospital and the actors who work on the hit ABC soap.
Casting changes have taken over, and the canvas that once was Port Charles looks unfamiliar.
Some actors who left were expected, and some were newer additions who didn’t hold the weight of the other goodbyes.
However, when more than a few long-term actors leave, there begins questions about what the end goal is and what direction General Hospital is headed in.
General Hospital is the last remaining ABC soap, and I was shocked when it was chosen to continue. All My Children and One Life to Live were much better, in my opinion, though I had watched all three for decades.
Now, it seems there could be trouble for the long-running soap as many viewers are still reeling from recent casting decisions.

Another long-term General Hospital star is exiting Port Charles.
Just as viewers were dealt a blow with Kelly Monaco’s exit as Sam McCall, another Port Charles staple, is leaving the set.
Today, Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) announced he was stepping away from the ABC soap after 14 years in the role.
He talked about it being the “right time” in his life to step away. There was no context for why he chose to walk away, but he recently welcomed a baby with his girlfriend.
Currently, Michael is involved in one of the hot-button storylines on the ABC soap. The character needs to continue, which begs whether a recast will step in immediately.
As of now, Chad has not revealed his final air date.

General Hospital spoilers for next week tease that more drama is coming as November sweeps wrap up.
Things in Port Charles have been turned upside down this month, and as Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) death continues to affect her loved ones, her gift to Lulu (Alexa Havins) will continue to live on.
As Ava’s (Maura West) trial begins, everyone must relive the pain of losing the baby Kristina (Kate Mansi) was carrying for Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Tj (Tajh Bellow). This family has been through the wringer, and it doesn’t look to be letting up anytime soon.
Meanwhile, things with Sam’s children appear to be coming into place. The Quartermaine mansion is about to become much fuller in the coming weeks.
It will be a short week, with Thanksgiving bringing a repeat episode and Friday being preempted for sports coverage.
Here’s what to expect next week on General Hospital.

Anthony Geary is still known to many General Hospital fans for his role of Luke Spencer. However, recent events on the series have fans wondering if Luke should make his return to the series. On the other hand, bringing the character back might be easier said than done.
Anthony Geary Was Part Of A Prominent Supercouple
Geary first took on the role of Luke in 1978. For many fans, the character’s relationship with Laura Webber became an early prominent example of a soap opera “supercouple.”
Geary also appeared as the character in various spin-offs, like Port Charles, and even made a crossover appearance on the sitcom Roseanne. He continued on in the role well until 2015, although he briefly returned to the role in 2017.

This 2017 guest appearance would mark the last time fans would see Luke onscreen. In 2022, however, it was said that Luke died in a cable car accident while in Austria.

General Hospital (Gh) spoilers hint that the week of November 18-22 will be a highly emotional one. This preview for the next five days indicates the little town of Port Charles will gather for Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) funeral, but fans need to brace themselves for some major drama.
General Hospital Spoilers – Danny Morgan Blames Lucas Jones For Sam’s Passing
Gh spoilers suggest there is a scene in this week’s preview that shows Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) blaming his uncle, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) for Sam’s demise. It looks as if this will all go down after her funeral services.
Lucas is already dealing with his fair share of guilt, so it’ll be heartbreaking to watch his nephew lash out at him.
As the days go by, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will have a chat with Danny, and he may try to reason with his son.

In a viral video posted to X (formerly Twitter) last Friday, “General Hospital” star Kelly Monaco can be seen giving a good speech to the cast and crew of the daytime drama series as she finished filming her final scenes as Sam McCall, which aired Friday, November 1.
“I’ve been on this lot for 25 years, and you have all been my family – not only my second family but my first family – and I just thank each and every one of you for all these memories and this experience that I’ll take with me for the rest of my life,” said an emotional Monaco, as she held back tears while holding a bouquet.
“Mark Teschner [show’s Casting Director], you started this whole journey for me and it has been a wild ride,” Monaco noted in her speech the 21 years she played Sam on “General Hospital” and her more than three-year run as Livvie Locke on “Port Charles.

General Hospital (Gh) spoilers reveal that Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) is seemingly ready to once again say goodbye to Port Charles.
During this week’s Gh preview video for November 11-15, Lucky told Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) that he has no intention of sticking around the little town. But will something change his mind?
General Hospital Spoilers – Lucky Spencer’s Return Has Bombed
Gh spoilers remind fans that it feels as if Lucky’s return to PC has been an epic failure. He was unable to ‘save the day’ by being Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) liver transplant donor.
In some ways, he essentially brought Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) to town, and he may feel responsible for Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) passing now, (even though he is nowhere near at fault).
On top of everything else, while Lulu’s life has been saved, she still lies lifeless in a coma.

We’ve known for a while that General Hospital cast Alexa Havins to play Lulu. Now, we have her first airdate: Monday, November 18. Here’s how the actress who once portrayed Babe on All My Children prepared for her new role on the only remaining ABC soap opera.
Preparations
Havins spoke with TV Insider ahead of her big return to daytime television. She told the publication that she didn’t want to be like the previous actresses — Julie Marie Berman and Emme Rylan — who portrayed the character.
“In no way, shape, or form do I want to mimic the other two ladies. I’m not trying to be them in any way,” Havins said. “Julie’s Julie and Emme’s Emme. Obviously, it’s going to be a more mature version of her, and I’m me, and I can’t be them.
“Lulu is a spitfire,” continued the actress.
