Redding was notorious for forgetting the lyrics to his own songs, and a good example of it is his performance of "Respect," in which he essentially sings the same verse ("Hey, little girl...") over and over again.
The set was cut short due to a late start, the threat of rain and an impending curfew. As a result, only five songs were performed.
This film is part of the Criterion Collection, spine #169.
