I recently watched Stewardess School (1986) on Tubi. The storyline revolves around a group of misfits in flight steward school. For graduation, they must work a real flight, showcasing they're more than misfits. The lives of passengers hang in the balance during their final exam.
Directed and written by Ken Blancato in his sole directorial project, the film features Brett Cullen (The Dark Knight Rises), Sandahl Bergman (Conan the Barbarian), Don Most (Happy Days), Judy Landers (Armed and Dangerous), Robert Paulsen (Pinky and the Brain), and Sherman Hemsley (The Jeffersons).
The movie exudes '80s vibes, resembling a mix of Porky's and Airplane, albeit not reaching the heights of either. This film carries a fun nostalgic cast, notable Judy Landers stands out for being smoking hot as always. While the humor may miss more than hit, memorable moments like a Twisted Sister line and a fantastic crushed nuts conversation add some laughs. The shower scene stands out as the movie's highlight.
In conclusion, Stewardess School falls short of being a good movie, but its '80s charm makes it worth a watch. I would give it a score of 3.5-4/10 and recommend watching it at least once.
