Carola de Dia, Carola de Noche is a funny as well as amusing comedy with suspense , nicely realized by Jaime De Armiñan . This an enjoyable and feeling movie with attractive musical set pieces and in final takes places the ordinary happy end . This is an attractive story proceeded in simplicity and delicacy and the atmospheric interiors provide a lot of chances of dancing and singing . Carola (Marisol) is a beautiful princess at 21-year-old who results to be overthrown by revolutionaries from an Eastern country , perhaps Hungary . Carola escapes along her large entourage formed by a notorious bunch of Spanish secondaries (José Sazatornil , Lili Muráti , Rafael Alonso , Verónica Luján, Mariano Vidal Molina) . But Carola doesn't loves to be imprisoned and secretly goes out by night to find out how Spanish people live . Furthermore , the entourage and the princess are suffering unfortunes because the cash is running out . However , there are some secret agents (Leo Anchoriz) who try to kill her , because the revolution wants her to die . What she didn't expect , was that she would fall in love with a youngster (Tony Isbert) she meets in a restaurant, a boy who works in a cabaret called Chez Nous where she decides to start working as a dancer and singer .
Likeable and charming musical comedy with child prodigy Marisol accompanied by a great plethora of secondaries . Of course , Marisol steals the show as the splendid singer and dancer teen girl . Marisol is well supported by a fine support cast , full of familiar faces , along with a great number of cameos as Narciso Ibáñez Serrador , Fernando Fernán Gomez , José Orjas , Emilio Gutiérrez Caba , Marisa Paredes , José María Rodero , Amparo Baró , Mónica Randall , José María Rodero . Being special mention for Jose Saza and José Luis Coll with their hilarious timing . The scenarios in which develops the deeds are well designed . Musical score by Juán Carlos Calderón responds appropriately to the ambient , originating a careful atmosphere . Luminous and glimmer cinematography by Antonio L. Ballesteros . The filmmaker Armiñan as well as the famous producer Goyanes succeed in this picture , obtaining a great achievement , managing perfectly to the performers and taking advantage of them , giving the best of their acting . It's worthwhile mingle of music , spectacular choreography , comedy , sentimentalism and good feeling .
Here Marisol gives a sympathetic acting as a princess in a land far far away who is banished and she has to run away after revolution in her country, as she goes to Spain and has to disguise herself to save her life .
