Filming was suspended for five weeks in October and November 1951 after Greer Garson had an emergency appendectomy.
In the following year's While the City Sleeps (1956), when Dana Andrews' cab chases a bad guy, a theater marquee is visible in the same shot, with his full name on it, but nothing else is seen. Since this movie came out the year that was filmed, it's probable that 'Strange Lady in Town' was on the marquee. And the most likely reason his name is visible is because he's second-billed to Greer Garson, whose name allowed his to be seen at the right-side/edge of the marquee.
An early role for Lois Smith, who, as of May, 2019, is still a working character-actress. Her most memorable role is playing Jack Nicholson's sister in the counter-culture classic, Five Easy Pieces (1970). And in this movie she's in love with Cameron Mitchell, who co-starred with Nicholson in another Western, Ride in the Whirlwind (1966).
