Dorothy Lamour was very insecure about her feet, which she considered to be 'ugly' and avoided showing them whenever she could. She was so unhappy when she found she would be performing barefoot in the entire film that she had special rubber feet made to hide her own. These however caused her to slip a lot, so she eventually gave in and went barefoot, and is such in most publicity shots also.
One of over 700 Paramount productions, filmed between 1929-49, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since; its earliest documented telecast took place in Boston Tuesday 16 September 1958 on WBZ (Channel 4); it first aired in Omaha Sunday 17 May 1959 on KETV (Channel 7).
