Plot
Worlds collide as a family on a road trip stumbles upon a farmhouse with a peculiar set of residents.
Cast
Features veteran character actor Time Winters, and that's all I'm familiar with.
Verdict
The vicious sees a family on a road trip get themselves lost, they see a house in the middle of nowhere to seek assistance and come across a redneck group who seem all too welcoming. They're invited to spend the night but things go south, just not in the way you'd think.
Filmed mostly in black and white for some inexplicable reason, it builds tension relatively well but failed to really draw me in. The twist is interesting but very poorly executed which leaves the short as a bit of a mess.
There is something there, it's not a lost cause but the whole thing was just handled poorly. Back to the drawing board methinks.
Breakdown + An interesting twist
Rants
I often find myself confused when it comes to short films, where exactly do they fit in? How do the people involved make their money back? They're kind of like music videos to me, are they designed to showcase the directors abilities in hopes that he gets a call to do bigger and better things? It's not that I don't like short films, I'm just at a loss as to their place in the industry.

- Very little actually going for it
- Black & white was a poor choice

The good points - the construction and the twist. The bad piece - the end in which too obvious elements of carnage are almost vulgar. But a decent short horror, more for inspired memories.
