The actor who played Taylor Keita in Netflix's The Cage, Melvin Boomer, has a wholesome real-world connection to Mma (mixed martial arts) that made his story even better. The Cage is, largely, not a wholesome show. Taylor's first foray into the world of professional Mma fighting was fraught with setbacks, betrayals, and depressing moments, and the ending of The Cage struck an unusually dark note. Luckily, Melvin Boomer has a much more uplifting real-world story to offset The Cage's often bleak narrative.

The cast of The Cage is filled with up-and-coming young French actors, like Melvin Boomer himself. It's also filled with long-time veterans of French cinema, and The Cage also features several real Mma fighters, like Georges St-Pierre and Jon Jones. All of the actors in The Cage brought something unique to the screen, but Melvin Boomer brought his acting talents and a secret connection to Mma.

Supermodel Gisele Bündchen, 44, is growing her family! The former Victoria’s Secret model and her boyfriend Joaquim Valente, 35, are expecting their first baby together. This little one will be baby number three for Gisele.

The couple’s baby news was shared in a statement to People that read, “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family.” No details are known about the Gisele and Joaquim’s baby, including their sex and anticipated due date.

Gisele’s pregnancy news comes on the heels of her notable absence from this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which had been on a hiatus since 2019. For this year’s show, the brand brought back former models including Tyra Banks and Adriana Lima.

The 44-year-old model is expecting her first baby with Jiu-Jitsu instructor boyfriend Joaquim Valente, 35, a source close to Gisele confirmed to People.

“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” the source said to the outlet in a statement.

The two have been dating since June 2023. They first sparked romance rumors in November 2022, when they visited Provincia de Puntarenas (a province located on Costa Rica’s coast) with her two kids.
