Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaBecause Rose Byrne recorded all her lines after filming, in order to have lines to react to, an earwig was placed inside Adam Devine's ear with and Actress/Voice-Over Artist Laurie Burke delivered Jexi's lines to him. However, sometimes the earpiece would malfunction. Co-Director Jon Lucas exclaimed that "there were times when Adam would just take the earbud out and do the whole scene without ever hearing anyone talking."
- GoofsJexi is on the cloud and can control any connected device. Updating the OS on one device (as is done at 1:12:17) doesn't disable its ability to control any other device not being updated.
- Crazy creditsDuring the first minute of the end credits, we see a brief montage of Phil's old boss Kai getting a new phone and getting to know Jexi the same way Phil did.

Watched on Netflix randomly, found myself laughing most of the time.
Never knew anything about this movie prior so gave it a shot. Damn, this movie is geniusly funny, and I usually have resistance to comedy films. I didn't predict a random watch on a weekday night would make my week.
Story is as simple as it gets, guy is addicted to his phone, his new phone forces him into a new routine, he goes with it, adventures happen, and well..thats the plot.
This movie struck me hard, as a person who is making efforts to reduce my phone usage. It felt relevant, as there is a lot to life if I look beyond the phone as it cannot make me happy alone.
That being said, the humor is top notch, I am a hidden fan of adult like comedy and Jexi has mastered that craft. I am happy to deem this movie was one of my top favorites due to its humor alone.
