It was interesting to see what would happen next and in the end but it's nothing like as good as people are making it out to be. Worst comment I've seen on here is someone saying it is "for intelligent people" as there are allegories of Brexit. That's total pompous show off nonsense.
Whilst it does heighten the tension and is well acted a lot of it doesn't make any sense. Half of the characters don't make any sense, people's actions don't make any sense. There are annoying scenes that go on too long with just annoying noises and rubbish music. The director somehow doesn't know what crazy golf is, and the end doesn't mean anything.

The title of the movie is a giveaway, head for the exit I guess. I was tempted myself to exit the movie in the first 10 min. Because it's a mixture of small cuts with phycodelic music and imaginary that doesn'tmake much sense. The photography makes it look like it was shot with an old grainy mobile phone camera.
Then things pick up when something start to happen but it's all so odd and implausible sometimes with painful photography. The main mistake in my opinion is the short cuts that are constantly shown showing just for a few seconds things that will happen later. Then who are those two odd repulsive people running like a spy operation on the couples, not a clue.
By the way, what was all that xenophobic stuff about? All that constant hate about foreigners? Really disgusting The only positive thing is that it can be a cautionary tale about not getting your drink spiked.
So in a nutshell, super budget movie that will be too much, too odd for the average viewer.

Saw this at a fest and enjoyed it! It's a very well written, tongue-in-cheek allegory for the whole Brexit mess in the UK, and works well on that front. Low budget, but nicely shot and edited, interesting colour palette from the gaffer. Probably one for the slightly more intelligent audience due to the meaning behind it, but also plenty in there to keep most modern horror audiences happy as well. Well worth seeking out!

What mess that Prime Video has endorsed me. Worse than a acid shower, very unfortunate performances, absolutely ridiculous. Shot with less money than I have in my pocket right now, it can put you into a coma. Stay away.

I saw this film at horror on sea and loved it a very well made film .
I liked what this director has done before but this is a step up and a film that if you get a chance to see you should

I bought this movie to support indie film and the actress Charlotte Gould. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a fun and innovative erotic horror film.
It's kind of rough but then so is a lot of indie cinema. This one had brilliant visuals and an outstanding performance from Charlotte Gould as the sexy and vindictive bad girl.
A must see for any fan of horror/thriller/erotic cinema. And please get out there to support indie film. Telling your friends, make a social media post or writing a good review costs you nothing, takes no time and just might make a creative person's day.
Really looking forward to where this guy goes next.

As a film director myself this is the first film I've ever reviewed and it's a great one. I love Micheal Fausti's work and especially exit. The film has a space and silence in it which reminds me of late 70s groundbreakers such as sapphire and steel, a great sense of eeriness and unease which I love. Nic roegs genius moment performance is definitely at play here too as is sexy beast, tinto brass, Tara king era of the avengers, and a nice giallo feel. It's all topped off with some bunuel anarchic chic, the final scene reminded me of Tales of the unexpected. Nice performances all round and some humour in among the violence and eroticism. Love the lighting which adds to the claustrophobic feel of the film. The whole film has the feel of everything descending slowly into absolute doom and that's the beautiful part of its menace. The sadistic parts in the film I loved the most. The music also I thought was excellent and fitted well within the film. I highly recommend exit. Michael Fausti has done it again!

I saw Exit at Horror-on-Sea and was mesmerised by it, during, and after, viewing. It has a David Lynch feel to it, especially the soundtrack, but a David Lynch that you might meet down the pub, and who may slip a little something into your drink. I loved the stylised tone of the film juxtaposed with the naturalistic performances of the very capable actors. A many-layered film that remained with me long after the screening.
Inventive film with great visuals throughout. Well cast with some strong performances. Well worth a watch.
Excellent sound design. The music has gorgeous rumbling bass lines and dissonant drums, reminds me of tippy 90s tunes from the likes of Massive Attack.
The colours add richness to the emotions and creation of a drug like state feeling.
Thoughtful, visceral and provocative. A colourful and dark trip, I look forward very much to what Michael Fausti will make next.

Exit screened at the Horror on Sea festival in 2020 to a packed out screen - lots of buzz about the film going in and thankfully the filmmakers lived up to it and then some. Without going into spoiler territory the main undercurrent of the film has the potential to come across as preachy, but the script straddles that fine line perfectly in fact it comes across as a very timely meta piece about something that is very of this exact moment in time.
The performances are all really good, but in particular the lead actress (Leonarda Sahani) has a lot to portray and does so well and very naturalistically. Tony Denham as the landlord Russell is also a brilliant creation - the audience were in hysterics over every line. The lighting and cinematography are a highlight - you can tell it has been thought through and theres a very consistent colour palette, not often found with low budget films.
This is the sort of film that is awfully brave to do on a budget - it relies on you believing the performers and the situation they find themselves in - you do though; down to a cracking script and great direction.
