It’s been 40 years since the Night Stalker, a.k.a. Richard Ramirez, roamed Los Angeles and began his reign of terror, killing at least 14 people via various break-ins over 16 months before he was eventually captured in August 1985. Now, NBC News Studios will tell the story in Ramirez’s own words, producing “Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes.” Using over 25 hours of previously unheard death row audio, plus interviews with family and friends, the two-part docuseries will unearth new truths about how the infamous killer was made. The film features legendary Hammer Films actress, Veronica Carlson, Lauren Lavera, Rachel Keefe, Alexander Jameson, Richard Lyntton (The Equalizer), Aedan Szymanski (Mastermind of Murder), and George Williams (Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks).
It is the night before Halloween aka Devil’s Night in 1978 and four teens, Chris, Vivian, Davis, and Laurel enter the woods for some mischief but instead they come face to face with the Devil and a night of fun turns into a hellish experience.
The title song, “Night of the Devil” is performed by metal band, Beastmaster, while another feature song, “Winter” is performed by the 70’s rock band, Iron Claw.

Oxygen Media has inked an overall development deal with Paul Holes, the hero detective who helped bring the Golden State Killer to justice. Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Development at Oxygen made the announcement today, which marks the one-year anniversary of Oxygen’s rebrand as a destination for high-quality crime programming.
“In speaking with Rod and his team, I felt the passion Oxygen has for storytelling and showcasing the very best in true crime content,” said Holes. “I’m retired now, and am looking forward to this next chapter of my career where I can help shine a light on cases that deserve national exposure.”

True crime programming network Oxygen is creating an augmented reality app for iOS called “Forensic Detective: Inside the Crime Scene,” the network announced Thursday. The game can turn any room into an Ar crime scene filled with clues and evidence the player must track down so they can bring a killer to justice.
“Oxygen is a leader in the crime genre for multiplatform storytelling, and as with all our original content, we strive to allow our viewers to play along as they try to solve a case,” said Lisa Hsia, executive VP of digital at Bravo and Oxygen Media. “By taking advantage of the latest Ar technology, we can push boundaries and give armchair detectives a unique opportunity to get out of their chairs and put their puzzle solving skills to the test using very real crime solving methods.”
